Getting to the studio is a bit chaotic and inconvenient, but once you arrive, it’s a beautiful and serene space. The studio is peaceful, thoughtfully decorated, filled with plants, and has large windows that open up to great city views. The floors are lovely, and the sound system is excellent. The reception staff and the teacher were very friendly and welcoming, and the class itself was high quality—the teacher was skilled and engaging. My only real drawback is the price. At $35 per class, it feels quite expensive to me, even though I recognize that this is fairly standard for studios in the area, and there's packages that can lower it minimally. The cost is the only reason for one less star. While I value the quality of the classes, I don’t feel comfortable supporting yoga offerings at these rates, as it feels misaligned with the spirit of accessibility and inclusivity that yoga traditionally represents for me. Overall, a wonderful experience if the price point works for you.
This place is absolute BS. A perfect example of fake, performative “spiritual enlightenment” wrapped around an overpriced and unfriendly experience. My wife and I came with a group of friends. The elevator didn’t work, so we had to climb five flights of stairs in an old, run-down building before even getting inside. Not exactly the peaceful, mindful start you’d expect from a yoga studio charging premium prices. When we arrived, the stated calm and “high-vibration” energy disappeared immediately. The receptionist was visibly agitated, rude, and dismissive to everyone. Zero warmth. Zero professionalism. Then we were told it would be almost $40 per person for a single yoga class—which is honestly ridiculous. There are far better studios with far better instructors and facilities in this city for significantly less. This felt like price gouging masked as spiritual exclusivity. When I calmly said the price was too high for us, the response was simply: “Okay. Bye.” No courtesy, no explanation, no attempt to be welcoming—just pure indifference. If you’re going to preach mindfulness, compassion, and awareness, maybe start by practicing it. This place feels like a cash grab dressed up as enlightenment. Would not recommend to anyone looking for genuine yoga or a respectful experience.
HAUM Studios has such a beautiful, welcoming space with warm light and gorgeous city views that instantly set the tone for a mindful practice. The atmosphere feels inviting and inclusive, and there’s a real sense of community among the people who show up to practice. The studio itself is thoughtfully designed, peaceful yet vibrant, making it a refreshing escape from the city buzz and grime even before class begins. I feel lucky to have experienced Jeremy’s Vinyasa class as my introduction to HAUM. His sequencing feels fresh and intuitive, blending intelligent flow with accessible adjustments that kept the class engaging from start to finish. He brings a soulful approach to Vinyasa, balancing dynamic movement with meditative pauses, and there’s a playful spirit throughout that makes the practice feel challenging and joyful. His cues are clear and thoughtful, grounded in both physical alignment and yoga philosophy, yet delivered with warmth and humor that keeps the room grounded and connected.
Climbing five flights of stairs was well worth it. The fifth floor studio offers a panoramic view of the city. It was wonderful to see the blinking lights of the city as I fell into a deeper relaxed state during restorative yoga. The studio itself with warm wooden flooring and warm, soft lighting was super welcoming and magical. I loved restorative yoga and felt my stress gently seep away. The Vinyasa course was super energized and I loved that the course came with a mindfulness mediation exploring the way we experience joy.
I was traveling for a work trip and discovered HAUM in the neighborhood I was staying and what a gift it was to myself. Nicole was a welcoming, kind, and skilled yoga instructor and the studio was gorgeous. It was bright, plant filled, and so clean and good smelling. The instructions on how to get in to the 5th floor were very helpful, and a little funny which I appreciated very much. Nicole's Vinyasa class was the perfect blend of hard work, stretching and quiet meditation. I won't hesitate to seek out a HAUM studio on my next trip to SF. Thank you for being my HAUM away from home. :)
