Highly recommend Hotshot Athletic Kitchener! Sifu Chris is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and great with students of all ages and skill levels. The studio is always clean and well-maintained, with a positive and supportive atmosphere. Both of my kids have been attending Hotshot Athletic Cambridge for years, and we’ve taken part in classes and events at the Kitchener location many times. It is always a fantastic experience!

Sifu Chris is phenomenal with students of all ages! He is dedicated and committed to sharing his knowledge with his students. He is always approachable, and from personal experience I can say he is always incredibly supportive! This club is a great place for new martial artists as well as advanced to succeed in their martial arts goals!

Signed up the two kids in the late spring- early summer period of 2024. The goal was for them to build confidence, and have an extracurricular activity that would promote exercising in a fun positive way. I'm happy to say that these goals are achieved with Kitchener's HotShot. The kids enjoy coming to the club, becoming a highlight of the day for them, and we see positive changes in their behaviours outside the club. Generally, the class sizes aren't overly big, allowing for a better experience over other, more crowded places we've visited in the area. Sifi Chris, though young, does a great job with the kids. He's able to keep the environment positive, and doesn't allow it getting unruly using assertive methodologies, without being harsh or aggressive. Its all about creating a healthy and positive environment for physical combative sports. Sifu Chris doesn't work alone, often being aided by Sifu Lynn,. She is equally as good with the kids as Chris is, promoting the same environment as he does. The club gets support from partnering clubs from HotShot Cambridge (who's Chris' and Lynn's Sifu runs) and GMA Waterloo (where Seabok calls home). Whenever Chris or Lynn aren't available, the other clubs have come to teach classes so the kids don't miss out. The support structure is great, and it was very enjoyable for my kids to experience the instructors from the other partnering clubs. I do recommend HotShot Kitchener for anyone looking to learn the art of King Fu,

My son has been training at Sifu Chris's martial arts class for several months now, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. From day one, Sifu Chris has created an environment that balances discipline with encouragement, pushing students to grow while ensuring they feel supported. The curriculum is well-structured, focusing not just on physical techniques but also on important values like respect, perseverance, and self-control. I've noticed significant improvements in my son's focus and confidence that extend well beyond the training floor into school and home life. He has already progressed to yellow belt. If you're considering martial arts for your child, I highly recommend giving Sifu Chris's class a try.

My son joined Hotshot two months back. After the trial class, he was not showing much interest to go. But we asked him to join the class and from the very next week, he started to like the program and now he is super excited to attend the class and can’t wait to come back from school to go for the karate class. The only reason for his interest in the class is Sifu Chris who boosted his confidence throughout the classes and his teaching styles are so easy to understand and he knows how to handle each student efficiently. Highly recommended..
