i came in store today went well until payment. an employee asked me if i would like a bag i replied saying no. when im walking out of the shop i look at my receipt and see a bag charge on my receipt when i said no bag aswell as not being handed a bag…. i get that it’s only 40p something so little but i just don’t understand why. id name drop but unfortunately the name of the employee who served me isn’t on the receipt. sort it out

Had a 50 min layover waiting between trains so popped in good lord stores not overly busy cant find anyone to ask for trainers in my size eventually finds a member of staff who walks me to another member and im told ask her asks for shoes i asks for my size they being sent to tills i says sorry i wanna try em on oh was the response of her literally stood there like a lemon for 20 mins for a pair shoes to appear to no avail .. can safely say will never set foot in that jd again for quite a large store the visible amount of staff was shocking and what you were lucky to find couldnt be less bothered of they tried

While in store on 26.12.2025, I approached a staff member of African or Caribbean ethnic background stood by the junior footwear and asked for help checking a trainer size. I was ignored twice despite being clearly in front of her. I then asked the manager of African or Caribbean ethnic background who was standing nearby for assistance. Instead of addressing me directly, the manager gestured for the same staff member to assist, despite me explaining that I had already tried and been ignored. The staff member then proceeded to serve another customer of African or Caribbean ethnic background who arrived after me. I found this behaviour rude and dismissive. I later raised my concerns with the manager, explaining that I felt the situation was unfair and disrespectful. Unfortunately, there was no apology, and the response I received was again rude and dismissive. As a customer, I expect to be treated with basic courtesy and acknowledged when asking for assistance despite colour or race. Staff are rude! I would be taking this matter further.

The process of the shop is so slow. There’s no clarity in anything. One worker who stood out, was Yasin. What a lovely lady honestly deserves a raise. She was so helpful and kind. Really appreciate her. Other than Yasin, honestly slow.

JD Sports has a really good range of trainers, sportswear, and casual clothes, with lots of popular brands all in one place. The store is well stocked and laid out nicely, so it’s easy to browse and find what you want. The staff were helpful and polite, which made the shopping trip smooth. The only downside is that prices can be a little high, and at busy times the store can feel a bit crowded. Other than that, it’s a solid place to shop if you’re after the latest styles and branded gear. Overall, a very good store with a wide selection and good service — worth a visit if you’re looking for quality sportswear.
