Best bookstore in Dorchester! I love going to their free community events!! (Loved watching sinners w/community on Halloween!!)
Amazing staff. Had the pleasure of meeting one of the founders there on a quiet Saturday morning. Great selection of books and drinks. Would recommend the sparkling red! I got to sip on it while reading through some amazing cook books.
Great “newish” independent bookstore in the Field’s Corner neighborhood of Dorchester. The staff were super nice and helpful. The space is well organized and has comfy window seating. There is a cafe bar with coffee, tea, wine, and food. I didn’t order food but the coffee was good. The books- they have an excellent selection of books including books that I haven’t see in the bigger bookstores. I will definitely be back A staff member did mention that they are redoing their website which I feel will be good and will then definitely be a 5 star neighborhood bookstore.
Just Book-ish in Fields Corner is a bookstore and cultural venue prioritizing voices from BIPOC and queer communities. It curates a politically engaged, progressive selection of titles and programming ranging from gender and masculinity in sports to climate change and memoir. The space doubles as a venue under the moniker “Words as Worlds” hosting live music, book clubs, poetry slams, writing workshops, and political revolution reading events that challenge dominant paradigms. Visitors can enjoy beer and wine under its limited liquor license or opt for coffee and light baked goods in a cozy, artful setting that merges bookstore and café. Handsome views onto Dot Ave and the Red Line tracks.
The most magical place on this side of the river. All the booksellers should be shaking in their boots. This place holds so much joy, resistance, patience, and love. Their prices are accesible, their food is exceptional, and their selection of books is rich. In addition, fast service and a warm welcome. Please come spend your money at this beautiful bookstore.
