First and foremost—THANK YOU, LISA! Wow, what an incredible difference we’ve seen in our little boy Hank, our 18-month-old Frenchie, after completing the Foundations Program. As first-time pet owners, Lisa was just as patient with us as she was with Hank. Honestly, we’re not sure who was more nervous—us or him! (Safe to say, it was definitely us.) Hank was eager and receptive from day one. Lisa’s teaching style made the entire experience fun and easy to understand. She helped us recognize and interpret Hank’s behaviours so we could become better, more confident dog parents. If you’re looking for a positive, force-free dog training approach, look no further—give Lisa a call. Best decision we’ve made, and we’re excited to continue Hank’s training journey through her other classes!

Classes at Living Better Dog Training teach your dog (and you) valuable life lessons while being truly fun for your dog. The lessons are much more practical than traditional obedience schools; your dog will of course learn all the basics (sit, stay, down, etc), but they will also learn to use their brains, think through puzzles independently, develop confidence, and apply the things they learned in and out of the classroom. As an owner, you'll also learn how to read your dogs' body language, make walks more interesting for your pups, and more. The school is always very clean, and there is equipment for confidence & muscle building that is incorporated in class. There is always a Q&A portion of each class so owners can receive help with anything they might be struggling with. Lisa truly cares about each pup. All dogs can benefit from these classes.

We would highly recommend Lisa for all your dog training needs. We had a great experience with Lisa, working through Rocco’s big emotions as a rescue dog! We did both group and private classes together. Where we always left our sessions feeling informed and more confident. Rocco has made so much progress over the 6 months we spent working with Lisa. Thanks again Lisa!

Our family adopted a 1.5 year old mexican street dog over a year ago, and Lisa has helped us understand her behaviours and reactions. With Lisa's guidance, we've been able to bring out our dog's best, making her a sweet, obedient, and polite pet. Lisa's use of positive reinforcement, solid understanding of canine behaviour, and ability to spot the unconscious mistakes we make as handlers has been much appreciated. Recommend highly if you're looking for a trainer who will help you become a better pet "parent".

What can we say about Lisa’s classes. He’s still been one of the best experiences for our family. She has helped us see our dogs cues. Worked with us for a more positive environment - helped us when our amazing border collie is to anxious to listen - Yes our border is still worrisome over people but she gave us the tools so that he is safe with people and has full trust in us. Best decision we ever made was to get support with Lisa. It’s not about how well he sits - it’s about how well he works with us. Ps he sits well too :)
