This one of the cleanest, best-maintained gyms I have the pleasure of having access to. It is a trainers-only gym, meaning you must have a personal trainer who works here or else pay a pretty hefty fee for independent access. But if you value your health and having a large selection of high quality equipment to choose from, it is a worthwhile investment. The trainers (independent contractors), management, and ownership are some of the friendliest, most knowledgeable folks in the business. The owner in particular truly loves his job and his passion shines through the care he puts into the facility and the selection of services provided. The gym is maintained by a full-time worker (also incredibly friendly) so you won’t see machinery in disrepair (at least, not for long). And even when the gym is at its busiest, I’ve never really had to wait for a turn at a machine or station because no one is wasting time and everyone is happy to share if needed. In short, it’s a great facility for independent trainers who take their business seriously, and if you’re a client of one of these folks then you’ll be pleased to have regular access to an exceptional gym and a first class environment.
After being diagnosed with FSGS Kidney disease I was told that a huge part of keeping my health under control would be exercise and weightloss. With that being said I reached out to CoachSlo and she jumped into action and she created an amazing workout plan for me. With her guidance and a constant shoulder to lean on, she helped me reach my first goal of dropping weight for my first follow up appointment. Which was my doctor’s number one priority for my treatment. Due to dropping the weight I needed to drop my Dr didn’t have to prescribe me medication to help with the weight loss and all of my levels improved drastically! Now fast forward 6 months later and now we are working on my next goal to run my first 5K! I am extremely grateful for CoachSlo and the fact that she genuinely cares for each of her clients. She is truly one of a kind and amazing trainer and all around person. I look forward to continuing to have her as my trainer because I’m in this health journey for the long haul!
I have been seeing Daisy as a trainer for about 9 months now, and I feel healthier and stronger than I have in years. She cares about your progress and success, and is the best of the best. The Self Made facility is amazing. All of the employees are so friendly and encouraging. There are a ton of machines and weights available. Plus they are adding some amazing amenities, and can’t wait to start using them!

Self Made Fitness is the place to be if you want to grow alongside a community of amazing people. I was new to Dallas and my dear friend and trainer Patrick Bell brought me to Self Made. When I started my training journey I was 140lbs. Now I’m 170 and feel AMAZING. I’ve met so many great people here, and Marc, the owner, is an absolute stand up man. He offers free business classes on Tuesdays at 12:00 and 5:00 and has helped me massively with my Real Estate business. I EXHORT you to come experience this amazing community for yourself!
