Working with Matt is well worth the time! He worked with my daughter after she took her first ACT on her 'own' to see where she was, and scored a 23 with little self prepration. With Matt's help and guidance, she scored a 28, and after few more sessions, scored 30! We can't recommend Matt's services enough. We had two experiences that were both fantastic, one for a son preparing for the ACT and one for a son preparing for the military ASVAB test. In the case of the ASVAB test, our son had done no school related activities for years, and Matt helped him score high enough to qualify for all military jobs. In the case of the ACT test, Matt helped improve the overall score by 6 points and in some areas the results were more dramatic. In both cases, neither of our sons complained about the sessions nor the outside work involved, and both genuinely appreciated Matt's approach, his demeanor, and the results they achieved together. Matthew is an awesome tutor because he is highly intelligent and most importantly he can communicate with students from multiple grade levels. As parent who reached out to Matt twice, once with my high schooler ( to whom he helped with the ACT and helped her increase her ACT score) and also when my fourth grade son demonstrated struggles in math. Matt met with my son and following the end of his session was able to identify what was giving him struggles and it was in alignment to my sons teachers feedback. My son has been going consistently to sessions once a week and his performance and confidence has increased with math. As an educator and a mom, I highly recommend him.

I had Matt tutor me for the SAT and ACT, and I can say, confidently, that he has a better knowledge of these tests than anyone that I know—which isn’t a light statement, as I must have devoured all the articles, prep-books, and online strategies that I could find. It’s no secret that there are tricks around these tests; Matt knows all of them. He teaches you the fundamental material of the tests (which had the unexpected benefit of helping me do better in my classes), but he also points out the clever patterns cloaked behind tricky problems. On every new test, you’ll notice that you won’t miss them again. Most importantly, I want to stress the individual attention that Matt pays to his students. He earnestly considered my strengths and weaknesses, and he gave me a strategy that would help me maximize my score. He put an emphasis on practice tests, concept repetition, and scrupulous review over incorrect problems. He knows which books are good and representative of the tests, and the ones which won’t do you any good. Because of him, I was able to score a 1580 on my SAT.
