First off to be very clear - I have absolutely no problems with the person who came out to my house. He was professional, personable, and courteous. My issue is overall pricing. No one talked to me about pricing when I set up the appointment. No estimate was given. Due to circumstances beyond either of our control, none of my requested repairs were able to be completed (again, not all all the fault of the person who came out and attempted to do the work). In the end I was hit with a bill for over $400. And when he called to try and get the price down, I was offered $50 discount. Hardly what I'd call trying to drum up repeat customers. Again, I was very happy with the young man who came and attempted to do the work I requested. But in the end, when the work isn't completed, and I'm hit with a huge bill that no one talked to me about before hand, I won't be using this service again.
I was THRILLED with my experience with Mr. Handyman. They were able to come out to my home less than 24 hours after I called them! Our technician, Steve, was so helpful and knowledgeable. He walked me through what was wrong with our door locks and how he could fix them. He was done in less than one hour! They offer so many services - I will definitely be calling them in the future!
Mr Handyman came out the next business day and provided a reasonable estimate. They were able to start immediately and finished the work in two days. Steve was prompt and I received a text each time he was on the way with an estimated arrival time and a link to track him. The work was thorough and the results look great.
The guys put our shed together in quick time. They showed up on time and did quality work. We are truly happy with the end result!
Andy, the Mr. Handyman technician who was assigned to us on October 14, 2025, did an excellent job for us. He possessed versatile skills that allowed him to tackle the three diverse jobs we needed help with: our storm door, the steps to our house and painting of our staircase rail. After assessing the jobs, Andy went to the hardware store and purchased the materials needed for the job (paint, nails and storm door base strip). He was quite knowledgeable, agreeable and friendly.
