Our water line broke in the middle of winter! Everyone at Mr. Rooter was prompt, courteous, expedient, and professional. From Sarah, Meaghan, and Jake helping us from the office and walking us through the repair, to SCOTT and the guys executing a tricky job FLAWLESSLY - the result was awesome, tidy, and mostly…appreciated. Beware! The pricing that Mr. Rooter charges is exorbitant!!! No issues with the quality of the work. I recently had a kitchen faucet replaced at my home which included 2.5 hours labour and the price of the device, which was $160.00 plus tax, so let’s say $179.20. The price for the service came to $685.98 before taxes and a senior’s discount. That works out to $210/hour after subtracting the price of the faucet. I called Mr. Rooter’s office and asked for the price estimator for a break-down of the invoice. That person never replied but left it up to another individual in the office who said they don’t offer details of how the price was calculated. I did learn that they added a significant price onto the bill as part of a warranty program. I had been told by the installer that they offered a one-year warranty, but not that I would have to pay extra for it. I would prefer to have the option of including warranty in a service, not paying for it automatically. I googled the odds of actually using the warranty and came up with the following… Average Manufacturer Warranty Claims: For many building material manufacturers, including plumbing components, the average warranty claim rate—representing products that fail and require repair or replacement—is under 0.6% to 1.5% of total sales.

Very nice and professional staff. K Lu and his apprentice was great, definitely knows what they have to do which gave us peace of mind and resolved the issue quickly. The company was prompt with their schedule and kept us updated with the technician arrival. However, in my opinion price is a bit expensive but they will give you a qoute first if you agree they will start working otherwise can cancel the service at no cost.
