Roger is a passionate musician who balances professionalism and flexibility when working with adults. I did not have a clear goal and just wanted to experience more music theory learning and discuss musical ideas, but I learned a lot just from simply enjoying my lessons. Highly recommend for anyone already with piano/music background but want to explore something different out of your routine!

Roger is a very talented pianist and teacher. On those occasions when our 9-year-old struggles to focus, Roger comes up with ways to engage her, help her feel a sense of accomplishment and continue learning. His lessons follow a progression and structure, while retaining the flexibility and sense of humor required when dealing with kids.

Roger has been teaching my son guitar weekly for close to two years now - since he was 6 years old. (He is now 8). During that time my son has made great progress in reading chord diagrams and playing full open chords on the guitar. Even though we started him early (per his request), Roger was able to keep him engaged, modify lessons to his level, and start with instilling an interest and basic appreciation for the guitar and how to use it, focusing on more technical skills over time. My son is definitely interested in sticking with guitar and looks forward to Roger's lessons.

Taking guitar lessons with Roger has been a great experience. He’s patient, friendly and tailors learning to each individual. My technique and overall playing ability have progressed in a very short period of time. Highly recommended!

I studied with Roger for piano. Overall a really fun experience and great vibes. Roger is super knowledgable and passionate about music. I have never studied music before, but he makes learning easy and takes the time to explain things to you. Roger is patient and easy going. I would def recommend Roger for anyone who is looking to take lessons at any level!
