I tried Mateo’s HIIT class at Sweat in Houston, and it was a blast. Admittedly, I had a little bit of trouble following everything he said because of his strong accent, but honestly, his energy is so contagious that it didn’t even matter. You can really feel the motivation in the room! I’ll definitely be going back for another round.
Took my first class at OneSweat tonight and it absolutely lives up to the name – I was sweating buckets by the end. The studio is clean, the setup is nice, and the workout is very fast-paced, high-intensity interval training that really pushes you. The instructor kept the energy up and the class moving, which I appreciated, though as a first-timer I would have loved just a bit more individual guidance and emphasis on form. Overall, it was still a great experience and a serious workout, and I’m giving it five stars.
I absolutely love One Sweat. The ambience of the room with the lightning coupled with the music and the bad ass instructors make it a one-of-a-kind workout. I love how the intervals on the treadmill on the floor are kind of kept 5 to 6 minutes as it makes the class manageable but super challenging at the same time. I’ve tried tens and tens of studios in different states and this is honestly my number one favorite.
