Feb 2025 WEEPING CHERRY BLOSSOM TREE. This kind of flowering tree is perfect for my tiny garden. And Payless nursery is such a great place to visit. Last February I purchased a weeping cherry blossom tree. It was just a bunch of hanging skinny branches without a single leaf let alone flower. I was fortunate to have the help of a staff there. He helped choose a nice tree, explained the good factors such as the shape of the tree and the size of its trunk. He wrapped the tree in large plastic sheet and loaded it into my small sedan. The tree did not suffer a single damage when I unloaded it at home. I never had this kind of service with Home Depot, Lowe’s or the famous Sloat Garden center in SF. This will be the nursery I will drive 50 miles to have the great selection and most of all the great service. In just two months, by the end of April, I get to enjoy the beautiful tree outside my window—such graceful hanging of the branches covered by lovely white blossoms. Next Spring I will get my second cherry blossom tree from Payless Nursery for sure. 😊

As the name implies, you do pay less for the plants from the same nursery. There are a lot of choices especially fruit trees and roses. They also have frequent sales. We like to come here for treasure hunting. Strongly recommend to come here to take a look.

Three stars for the good selections, variety and inventories! But can’t find any price tags matching with the name of the store or nursery, which is” Payless” ! Coming on a Saturday morning to looking for some roses, we found a bunch but nothing less than $49.99 in the one gallon container. Some of them are s at $69.99. Succulents are expensive as well. Unless you’re really, really wanted or have no time to shop around, this place may suit you well!

We did not drop in at the rockery, the indoor plants section does not have a satisfying variety. The plants are pretty healthy and there are pretty pots for which you definitely don’t ‘pay less’. For yard owners there are a wide range of flowering plants and we bought quite a few.

Lots of great variety in their nursery. Very well stocked and the staff are always willing to help, they assisted me with the plants I looked for. Also like the great selection of rocks for my landscaping project. Prices are a bit high but it's all worth it.
