In our minds, the staff at Petite paws do an excellent job of taking care of our small dog and his grooming is top notch. They clearly know how to handle and work with smaller, nervous dogs, whether it be ours or others we see come and go when picking up our dog. They do a professional job that is reflected, not only in our dogs appearance, but at the fact that he comes back unstressed and happy. Not just once, but for many different sessions. That is a much better reflection of what to expect if you visit this group, they have a loyal following in our neighborhood and deserve it!
I debated writing a review but, I’ll share my experience. Over 6 weeks ago I brought my Morkie here to get groomed. She’s very anxious/protective and can sometimes be defensive. I explained that to the person taking my dog (she was distracted trying to open the door for another customer and told me to hold on). I explained that treat and pets help her calm down and that she does bark a lot d/t anxiety. My dog has been to groomers for over 5 years and I’ve never had a complaint. The groom too all of 1 hour. No skill with making sure it was even. They literally washed her and cut most of her fur. When I picked her up a bit late since I’m used to 2-3 hour grooming. I was met with 2 people who complained about how my dog acted and that she tried to bite one of them. That to me says they didn’t work with her and rushed through the groom and my dog was very scared needing to defend herself. Then I was told I never informed them of her behavior. Which was a lie. I did. Then they asked if she’s ever been kicked out of a grooming place because of her behavior and due to her behavior they would add a $10 handling fee on to the groom. Needless to say I will not be returning. Learn to handle different dog personalities/have more understanding.
I have 2 high anxiety brachycephalic dogs and Katherine is the only groomer I will ever take them to. You will never find anyone more patient and talented. I can't recommend this shop highly enough. Absolutely 10 stars.
Petite paws did a great job with my puppy! It was her first time and they did such a great job taking care of her and making sure she had a good first experience. She even claimed a treat as her own and they let her keep it. Will definitely be returning!
Thank you Lili for an AMAZING job with my pups! I asked for a puppy cut with specific details and she delivered. Nails were trimmed nice and short (not too short) which I appreciate as some groomers are not as detail oriented. She was efficient, did a full bath, groom and nail trim for both my pups, and finished it all in 2.5 hours. I know my pups had a stress-free time at their appointment because one of them who typically doesn't eat hard treats, happily took them from one of the groomers when we were about to leave. Petite paws was easy to book with and had plenty of bookings available without having to book months in advance. Parking is limited in the small parking lot shared with other businesses, but there's a good amount of street parking. Thank you Lili, we will be back!
