I attended several Photosprouts classes in the summer of 2022 and was very happy with them. I learned a lot from Juan, who was very patient and helpful. Would definitely recommend Photosprouts for those looking to expand their knowledge of photography.
Took the beginner class by Christina (the owner of Photosprouts). She was really helpful, patient with all our questions and customized the class to tailor it to our needs. I would recommend this course for anyone who is interested in learning DSLR photography.
My teen daughter loved the camp! Christina is warm, caring and so thoughtful of every student. My daughter can't wait to go back to take the intermediate courses coming up. So glad we found Photosprouts! Keep up the good work.
I could not rate this place more highly! They present great knowledge and immediately have you practicing your new skills. I took the Beginner, Intermediate 1, and Intermediate 2 workshops and learned so much. I came in knowing very little and walked out feeling empowered to finally get into taking photos with my boyfriend who had been doing it for years. I loved how Jordi (my main instructor) was great helping students wherever they were at, and it was clear that he loves teaching and is great at it (this coming from a teacher). He took us to practice each of our new skills in areas around San Francisco which immediately helped things click. I especially loved the field trips to the MOMA and to the Ferry Building to practice some of our new skills. I was really impressed by their content and how they broke it up into manageable chunks then immediately had you practice what they had just covered. From real life exercises manipulating aperture, shutter speed, ISO and lenses you get a great feel for how each effects the camera. This, plus the small class sizes made this place stand out among others I had looked at. I cannot rate them highly enough. I also want to give shout outs to Christina and Juan Carlos who were also incredibly helpful and are great as well and assisted Jordi. They are all such a wealth of information and I'm so lucky to have worked with each of them.
