I’ve been taking classes at Pilates 1st in Mesa for the last few months and I can’t speak more highly of my experience. Classes are small, registration is easy, and pricing is fair. I’ve really enjoyed Heather C as an instructor. She always shows up prepared with a class plan that is well-rounded and unique. I highly recommend Pilates 1st, but don’t take my spot! 🤣

My class today was with Regina, and she was fantastic. She’s an amazing instructor who consistently pushes me to challenge myself while still making the class approachable and enjoyable. I truly love the classes at Pilates 1st—the instructors are extremely knowledgeable and explain each movement clearly, so the workouts feel both accessible and effective. Each class is thoughtfully structured with a perfect balance of strength, flexibility, and core work, and I always leave feeling stronger, more aligned, and refreshed. I highly recommend Pilates 1st to anyone looking for a results-driven workout led by instructors who truly know their craft and make it fun.

Great place! I loved my first class and can’t wait to go back. I liked the small class format and felt welcomed, comfortable and challenged while attending my first class.

Teri came to ASU and instructed a mat Pilates class for us. She was very informative and I loved learning all of the classic Pilates fundamentals and history of it! You can tell she is very knowledgeable about pilates and I had a wonderful experience. She also is a breast cancer survivor and Pilates1st advocates for breast cancer patients and survivors which is incredible. Definitely check them out!

Excellent reformer Pilates. Fellas, I know! Pilates… I’ll pass. But hear me out. I was a powerlifter in my college days. I train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I have completed two ultramarathons. I have a third ultramarathon in December and then I’m looking to complete Hyrox in January’26. I decided to give Reformer Pilates a try after reading its founder was a boxer and he used it to train men in WWI. I have not had the sore feeling from a weight training gym workout or long run, but it is a great addition to training. I can tell that it is hitting those stabilization muscles I typically ignore and the stretching is awesome. I mean really who takes time to stretch? So adding it into a class where I am getting muscle training is a win. Give it a try!

I really enjoyed my experience at Pilates 1st, especially the Foam Roller class at their new downtown location. The studio is in a very cool building with a fresh, welcoming vibe. Teri made us feel very comfortable. Heather was a fantastic instructor—clear, supportive, and great at walking us through the process, making it easy to follow along even if you’re new. I’m looking forward to trying more classes!
