We turned up as novices and were greeted with helpful and extremely knowledgeable staff who took the time and effort to answer all our questions! Thank you we will be back.

We are older (beginner) climbers (55 & 60 years) who discovered the incredible benefits of indoor rock climbing almost 2 years ago (somewhat later in life). We find it to be amazing for our physical and mental strength and wellbeing - and it's especially good for our confidence! We accept that we may always be beginners, and might never be great at rock climbing, or probably won't ever climb a mountain outdoors. Despite this, we continue to show up a few times a week, and we continue to benefit greatly from it. The Staff and Management at Pulse Adamstown and Warners Bay (our 2 regular gyms) are some of the friendliest and most helpful people we've ever encountered, which was evident to us from day one (as both casual visitors and signed up members alike). We do not feel the slightest bit judged for our age, our body types or our ability when we are climbing at Pulse, and we hope to continue reeping the benefits of indoor rock climbing...slowly but surely - as we build our strength, confidence and ability - one session at a time. Competing only against our individual ability and nobody else. We highly recommend Pulse Climbing to people of all ages and all levels of ability...and we cant wait to start taking our Grandkids with us! Lenore & Dean Parker ❣️🙏❣️

The staff at this centre, on the Sunday afternoon when we had our child’s 10th birthday party were “exceptional”, not only were they patient and kind but also just the right number of staff who were also very diligent with safety and explaining things to the children and the parents helping out. We could not fault this place for service and the facilities are very good. The 15 x 10 year olds were certainly kept entertained! Thankyou and happy to recommend to others

Great route, good vibe, friendly staff. But the belay device used for top rope climbing ruins the experience. Safe belaying should be about technique, not brute strength. The quality/age of rope differs climb to climb and with some of them the rope feels far too thick for the belay device- I’m using all my strength to pull it through! Yes, a climbing gym needs thicker rope than outdoor climbing, but then you need a belay device that is made for this!

Super friendly staff and well equipped facilities. I'd give 5 stars if it wasn't a hot day. It wasn't air-conditioned and the food and drinks weren't much of choices. If it were air-conditioned and had some decent food, I'd highly recommend. The climbing was great!
