I brought my antique dresser to Restorations Unlimited in need of a rescue and recovery from a home-stain job. I requested removal of the non-original dark stain in hopes that it could be returned as close as possible to its original light finish. The dark stain was removed revealing its beautiful natural finish, so beautiful, that we agreed to forego stain and simply place a satin finish. The end result was stunning. Mike not only met, but exceeded my expectations. The exposed natural finish gave new life to old wood. The antique drawer pulls were cleaned and polished to their original luster, the drawers were finished inside and out and missing drawer stops replaced. It is more beautiful than it originally was. It is simply gorgeous! I am so pleased that I would proudly entrust Mike and Restorations Unlimited with additional projects. Would highly recommend for the care, and attention to detail put into each piece. You can trust your treasures to the expertise, talent, passion and artistry found at Restorations Unlimited. Mike restored a vintage mid-century Herman Miller buffet for me. He is easy to work with, his prices are very reasonable, and he did exceptional work on a piece of furniture that had very little tolerance for error. I couldn’t be happier with the experience and the workmanship overall. I will definitely use him again if they need arises.

What a lucky find for me. I was looking for someplace that could fix something that was very, very precious to me and couldn’t find any place. Somehow I found a place called restorations Unlimited and I saw an excellent review for them. So I talked to Mike and he said that he could repair this and I brought it in. He asked me when I needed it and I said hopefully sometime next week. Two days later I actually got a call. It said it’s all fixed. It was gorgeous and it’s absolutely perfectly done. I can highly recommend Mike on his service. He’s extremely nice extremely accommodating and if I ever need anything else restored, I’m coming right back here.

I had a kitchen table and chairs refinished at Restorations Unlimited. Before, the table and chairs were marked with sharpie, scarred, had little paint splatters all over, and the finish was gummy and I had scrubbed some of it off before I realized it was the finish and not the sticky mess from the kids and years of abuse. We took the table and chairs in and left them with Mike. He called us to come see after they were stripped and sanded. He showed us how the finish would look leaving it natural or with various stains and had us choose which we preferred. I couldn't believe how great it looked when we picked it up! The surface was smooth, no more scars and paint, and the wood looked so beautiful with the finish. Mike did a great job and the furniture looks fantastic! Highly recommend!

I had a great experience with Restorations Unlimited! Before I came here, I had a tenuous appointment with a Manassas restoration specialist who cancelled, a firm appointment with a Fairfax specialist who cancelled, and an Arlington specialist who had my bench for months without working on it. When I asked that it be returned, it came back disassembled and partially sanded. That's when I reached out to Restorations Unlimited. This small, family-owned business took my job on, refinished the wood, reassembled my bench, and had it all done in about two weeks--far less than the estimated six weeks. The finish is flawless and is the precise color I was hoping for--a dark espresso that allowed the wood grain to show through the finishing. Michael is so friendly and personable--it makes working with him a breeze. I'm so glad I called Restorations Unlimited, and I'll definitely make this shop my first stop for my next furniture restoration endeavor. Thanks for a top-notch experience! :)
