Had dinner there with a few friends on December 28. We were promptly given drinks, but the server didn't come back to take our orders until about 15 minutes later when everyone seemed ready to order.. finally took our order. One of them was wrong. At this point. I was slightly annoyed. However, I was looking forward to dessert to lift my spirit. When he finally came to check on us, i requested to order dessert. To my surprise, the kitchen had already closed! The server never warned us of this before it closed! That was the final straw for me. He should've told us ahead of time that the kitchen was going to close so that we can place last orders!
I have always loved this place. Great old standard but newly updated with live music and love that feeling of dimly lit atmosphere that exudes calm and relaxation even with the place being really busy most times I've been and so the noise level is sometimes a little high to be expected but again, the atmosphere more than totally makes up for that!
I ordered a Mango roll. It was absolutely amazing!! The server was great! She made sure I had everything I needed. It was a perfect lunch!!!
This is the worst Sakura Restaurant I've ever been to. The waiter was the most annoying person I've ever dealt with in my life. It took 15 minutes just to serve the Spring Rolls (which were delicious) with barely anyone else in the dining area. Started off on the complete wrong foot with them not even having Sweet Tea readily available then 20 minutes into the wait the server comes back out to verify what protein I wanted in my Yaki-Yudon because there ARE two menus that aren't clear at all and the dinner one states Yaki-Yudon come with chicken which is the one I ordered but he mistook it for a Hibachi Order. Twice I almost just left but I decided I'd let my patience win this one. The Yaki-Yudon itself wasn't the best but not the worst and DEFINITELY not worth the irritation getting it right. Other than that the atmosphere is decent and I wish I knew the napkin supplier because they're the best I've ever seen in any noodle restaurant.
We had a very nice dinner. The food was good. It was super packed and I think they were understaffed so it took longer than expected. Our server did amazing condisedering the large parties that she was also catering to. The rolls were super massive. 4 rolls could easily feed three different people. I will be back and look forward to trying all the things. My girlfriend gave it two thumbs up. Will be back.
