I have been going to Devin's StrengthLab classes now every week for a few months and I have to say that going to this class is one of the *highlights* of my week. I never thought I'd say that about a weight-lifting class! But Devin's energy and thoughtfulness in supporting students through the class makes it such a positive experience. I have always been intimidated by heavy weights but wanted to get stronger and this class really makes it so approachable. The other best part is that I can feel myself getting stronger each week. Devin has built an amazing studio environment - instructors are smiling, welcoming and motivating…classes are well thought out and I love the variety in offerings!! Devin exudes positivity and uplifting energy so I think this infuses in the people around her. I followed her over from her previous location and I’m so glad I did. Each class is challenging in its own way and I always feel like I leave having done a full body workout (mental refresh too 😉). Highly rec!
Great place to get strong and lean in a small group setting. Instructors are great and fun, Devin (owner) is so energized and will make an effort to truly welcome you to the community and help you reach your goals. Glad I found SL and gave it a go!
Had an amazing first class with Devin today. As a new mom and being over 200 pounds, this style of class was intimidating. I'd never done it before, and didn't read much into it ahead of time. I just woke up and decided today was a day to work out (it's a weird feeling to have for me, but I'll go with it). I was greeted warmly and enthusiastically by Devin, asked her and was assured by her that this class would work for a first-timer like me, and I let expectations go after that. Devin was encouraging and gentle with corrections where needed. Modifications were suggested regularly, and I was checked in with as often as needed. I had a great time, and it was just challenging enough for me. I think I'm hooked, I got an unlimited pass right after. Looking forward to creating a more balanced and stronger body for myself.
