I attended my first class, and Sophia was very supportive and helped adjust my reformer with each exercise. I had a great time and got a great workout. Unfortunately, I am moving and will be going to a different studio but I would be willing to go out of my way to go back to this location.
I’m so happy we finally have a [solidcore] here in Durham! I’d been waiting for them to open up since last year and I couldn’t be happier. The place is really clean and full of thoughtful amenities, the front desk staff are so friendly and helpful (especially Jess!) and the instructors - like, Amelie, Camila, Sofia, Barb - are amazing. I signed up for an unlimited package and try to go 3x a week. I’m definitely stronger and more toned. The classes are always challenging in the best way and, honestly, I can’t imagine not coming here. Fully recommend.
I was skeptical at first because I’ve never done pilates and usually see women doing these classes; man that skepticism went out the door after doing one class! Caterina is one of the best instructors I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. She really gets you into it and gives plenty of assistance throughout the class. She rocks! The place is really nice too. I recommend doing your research before signing up because it’s not your average pilates class. Plus, you need to prep your body ahead of time because the classes can be intense for endurance and body stability. Highly recommend the class though if you want your body to be shaking afterwards! That’s the kind of workout I go for.
I signed up before they opened thinking it was a traditional Pilates class and at 94 bucks a month it isn’t cheap. I didn’t like the class, tried to cancel and it’s a 6 month commitment. I’m so livid, those kind of contracts should’ve gone away with resort fees.
What an amazing studio space for Soldicore Durham. Paired with amazing coaches like Sara, Babs, and Sally led by HCCM Caterina - anyone who walks through these doors are in such good hands. The community that is being built and the workout is so worth it!!!
