I've only had good experiences and workouts at The Gym! I started out as a complete beginner and had a free first consult to see which plans would suit me and what my goals were so they could support me. Other than private and semi private trainings, they also offer classes in the mornings and afternoons. 24 hour access is also a bonus as I tend to be a night owl. The trainers Ger, Mitch and Lonnie have all been super friendly and supportive and I'm always looking forward to my next session with them. :)
Excellent location for health care workers. Great price. Friendly and supportive staff. Open 24hrs for those late / early workouts. Shower facilities and storage spaces . Drinks, snacks and protein supplements . The equipment is superb and has everything you need. Classes are great :-). Highly recommend. No long lines to use equipment either. Able to pause member ship if going on holidays. Just give them sufficient heads up (2/3weeks) . Also their app is great 👍🏻
The Gym Melbourne is a great place to work out. The facilities are in excellent condition, clean and the staff is extremely helpful. I have had the chance to take PT classes with Jer, Mia and Mitch. I enjoyed the training sessions with each one and felt very comfortable and satisfied with the workouts provided. The last few months, I have been training with Mitch and it is always a fun time, he helps a lot to improve my form, and gives great tips. Highly recommend this gym!
I joined the Gym only for a month while attending an elective at the Hospital. The environment was friendly and welcoming from the very beginning. The space is small, but was never overcrowded and I was always able to access the equipment I needed. I really loved the flexibility of the opening hours (24/7!) Plus, the gym offers a wide range of classes to suit every fitness level, which is perfect if you want to try something new. I always looked forward to Lonnie's killer HIIT classes! I would strongly recommend this gym to anyone looking to keep fit and healthy while also having fun!
The Gym. I love the quick and simple unique name to this place as it also has humour in conversation to people who want to know where people train. If you ever need to find a place to train just come to The Gym, it’s the place to keep you motivated, never skip training, provides the best programs suited for all those at different levels, abilities and personalities and it’s magnificent facilities. As this gym is in a hospital and very much so near where I work 😉 it’s a place which motivates me to attend to and get fit without any excuses. My trainer and the manager know to remind me of the sessions and call me in for a friendly chat even if I’m not training that day. The rapport I build with the community is especially important for me as It is a place close to where I work and I know that especially Lonnie the manager works very hard to keep his clients happy with the facilities, trainers and programs he provides, thus always asks of clients feedback and see what we think, it’s wonderful Lonnie allows his community of clients and trainers to feel a sense of belonging and becoming fitter mentally and physically. The clientele equipment and gym layout is perfect for those who look for a myriad of training programs or just one. As there is an outdoor section, sometimes looking rather small, it’s like walking into a wizard world tent- (Harry Potter reference look it up) and one doesn’t realise how massive it can be. Lonnie has fit and changed around equipment to fit similar to his gym in Appolo Bay and by golly is the theme working and the space even more spacious than before. The new bar and weights area is impressive and considerate of space and safety and has bars and plates for varying level experienced clients, the racks area has been simplified to two and still has the ability to set up appropriate equipment on and allows clients to move swiftly around. One of my favourite programs to join here at the gym is the Boxing classes that are hosted three times a week, (I train with Alyssa)I dedicate myself to one session a week of boxing- two if I ever have time. And a yoga session once a week if I have time, if not there is always the functional yoga and Pilates studio; where yoga mats, rollers and blocks are always plentiful- I take use and make my own stretch or yoga routine from what training of yoga, personal training I have been guided by. My trainer who is an excellent gentleman has built me into becoming a lazy non motivated client to a dedicated “always about the mindset”, “let’s get it fam” client, and person all over! Quotation marks above are for my trainers main mottos. Come into the gym yourself to give this place a chance to change your lifestyle around and see what I mean in my reviews for The gym, Lonnie and Armi; my trainer. This place has the best atmosphere to those who walk past, walk in and out of the gym. And there’s heaps of things to tell you but you will just have to come in and talk to the crew and see for yourself.
