As a first-time homebuyer, I got preapproved by many mortgage lenders. The process was, overwhelmingly, the same each time. Complete the application and they give you the numbers. Among a huge pool of potential mortgage lenders, The Mortgage Nerd stood out. The application process was more holistic. The "behind the curtain" approach helped me feel like I wasn't just buying a house, but being given some tools to understand how this purchase actually aligned with our long-term goals. Once under contract, everything was smooth and straightforward. Questions were answered easily and quickly. And we were able to close early. I look forward to working with The Mortgage Nerd when we move up...in many years.
