The owner is very friendly and accommodating. My girlfriend’s family has been coming here to celebrate special occasions for over a decade and it never disappoints. The food was incredibly delicious, and they have a good variety for all appetites. I look forward to my next visit

First visit: Party of 3, Food was fantastic, one had Salmon ; Filet Migon, Liver & Onions Food took awhile but it was well worth it.. Even though we arrived just before our 6pm reservation and just as we finished our main course, at around 7:00 they came and gave us our bill without asking us if we wanted coffee or dessert? Seemed very strange.. we were only there for just 1 hour?? After we paid the waitress then came and asked if we wanted coffee or dessert.. ? Otherwise it was a fabulous meal.. and we would definitely come back … Maybe just a overbooking situation as it was a Friday night..and they are only open from 5 to 9 pm..

Our 1st visit to the Purple Pear. Although dated inside, i can't say anything bad about the food or the service. The food was cooked to perfection, and not everyone can get seafood cook well. They did. Flavorful and well plated. Vegetables were lovely as was the chicken I had. Our party enjoyed the chicken and seafood in a creamy white wine sauce, salmon and chicken and mushroom Linguine. Nice portionnsize and enough to take home. A must try.

Went to the Purple Pear for a family birthday celebration and were happy we decided to go to this cozy, old school, cozy restaurant. We had been here before and we're always happy with the experience and we're not disappointed on this occasion. As always the staff was inviting and attentive and a special thank you to our server who was kind and patient with my elderly mother who was having difficulty choosing a dinner. The owner, Victor was friendly and helpful as always as he made his way around to each and every table making all of his patrons feel welcomed. The food was outstanding, steaks cooked to perfection and served with interesting and delicious sides. It was a perfectly timed dinner with no one hurrying things along as we find happens in many other restaurants. This made our experience even more enjoyable as we able to enjoy good food and conversation without feeling rushed. All together a great dinner at a great price ... thank you Victor and Debby of the Purple Pear for having us over for dinner !!

Had a night out with work associates. We tried most, if not all the appetizers and were quite happy with them. Great service, the decor and lighting could use a little updating but a very nice evening nonetheless.
