Jane is the person you want to design that special and meaningful piece of jewellery. Since the first moment I spoke to her, I knew I was in good hands. I had a vague idea of what I wanted for the engagement ring, but she guided me through all the steps and decisions I needed to make (metal, stone, design, etc) and everything felt much easier than expected! She understands what you want and within a few conversations you can start to visualise what that ring (in my case) will look like. You can see that Jane loves her job, and that is directly reflected on her jewellery: gorgeous, tidy, elegant and, overall, stunning.

My husband and I decided to get new wedding rings for our 25th wedding anniversary. After many hours of internet trawling we kept coming back to The Tappit Hen. As I am Scottish and having met when we both lived in Scotland we wanted rings very much with a Scottish theme and design. From the minute I called Jane until receiving our rings it has been an absolute pleasure dealing with The Tappit Hen. We are absolutely thrilled with our rings, they are utterly stunning, very unique and high quality pieces of art. I found The Tappit Hen when I was searching for a Celtic style wedding ring and immediately fell in love with a Celtic knot design. It was just beautiful, and exactly what I wanted. When visiting the gallery for the fitting, I saw so many handsome items and ended up buying a pair of earrings that I found irresistible. Jane is a wonderful jewellery designer, and I highly recommend this business. I live in London but will visit The Tappit Hen again next time I'm in Edinburgh!

Planning an anniversary trip to Scotland from Canada, I was looking for a genuinely ‘made in Scotland’ ring to bring home with us, and I found The Tappit Hen online. It was difficult to choose one, but after contacting Jane to place an order, she offered to do a sizing consultation by video call with my wife. Communication with Jane was excellent, and while this wasn’t a big splurge, she was attentive and accommodating at every step. Got to meet her when picking up the ring during our visit, and it’s beautiful - a perfect keepsake with a Celtic thistle theme that will always remind us of Scotland and our visit here. Fantastic experience, having our 10 Year Anniversary bands made by Jane at The Tappit Hen! We connected with Jane via email and phone several times to discuss the different options and placed our order for two of the Edinburgh Waves wedding bands in white gold several weeks prior to travelling to Scotland (from Canada) so that the rings would be ready for pick up when we arrived. Jane was so patient and accommodating throughout the process. Honestly, can't say enough about the superior level of customer service Jane provided and the absolutely stunning rings she created!!
