Won't be going back to Thriveworks. They clearly hire people without the necessary expertise. The therapist assigned to my daughter straight out name-called me during a session after continuously interrupting me when I was attempting to respond to her concerns. She literally threatened to call CPS on me during the session if I didn't "come up with a plan" with her but then she interruped everything I said as i attempted to work with her on that! I attempted to advise her that we had a plan that was working but she continued to be rude/unprofessional and almost immediately started threatening me! I ended the session once she started name-calling and advised we wouldn't be back. Her retaliation was to report me to DFPS even though it's clear my daughter is sick and lying (the details/stories don't logically make sense). This is not my first negative experience with Thriveworks. In 2024, I previously had attempted to get therapy for my daughter with them and their response was that she was too acute to treat and she needed a different (specific) type of program. But when I entered her in the type of program recommended by Thriveworks, THAT program recommended therapy (Thriveworks!). Mental health is hard enough to navigate without therapists that won't work with you to help your children. This "therapist" had some personal issue with me based on her behavior even though we have only ever spoken for less than 10 minutes. I've NEVER had this issue in my entire life and even my daughter (who is the unwell patient!) agreed when we walked out that the therapist was belligerent and rude. I'm happy to work with DFPS instead, literally. That's how clueless the providers are here. I'm shocked at the mistreatment I received. Literally disgusted.
I have really appreciated the quality of the therapist, ease in getting appointments, and that they take my insurance.
I’m only 2 apts in with Kammille Harvey but so far I really enjoy working with her. The office and parking are easy to find. The view from her office is pretty as well.
Very easy to make an appt. Person on the phone was quite helpful since I was really frustrated with previous recent attempts to find the right counselor. Counselor was nice, building easy to find. My 1 complaint is it is very far from me, but thats my issue
J. Kaye Is an amazing counselor. She is incredibly insightful, and helps her clients stay positive and compassionate toward themselves. Kaye helps people form goals and work realistically toward reaching them. I feel I make tremendous progress every time I speak with her, and I give her my highest recommendation.
