Before I started training with Joe, I was honestly super unconfident in myself. I weighed about 130 lbs and never really believed in what I was capable of, both in and out of the gym. From day one, Joe pushed me past limits I didn’t think I could reach, but he did it in a way that made me feel supported, not pressured. He gave me realistic recipes I could make at home, helped me stay consistent, and most importantly, helped me find motivation on the days when it was running low. Joe is an incredibly nice guy who truly cares—not just about what’s happening in the gym, but about my everyday life as well. He checks in, listens, and genuinely wants to see you succeed as a person, not just as a client. After just two months of training with Joe, I now weigh 150 lbs, I’ve doubled my strength, and I can dumbbell bench press 50 lbs per hand—something I never thought I’d be able to say. More than the physical progress, I finally feel confident in myself again. Joe isn’t just a personal trainer. He’s someone who believes in you, pushes you when you need it, and supports you when you’re struggling. He’s a friend, and I couldn’t be more grateful for everything he’s helped me achieve.
Joe is an absolutely fantastic personal trainer. I always struggled with self discipline when it comes to exercising and staying fit along with being a bit intimidated going to the gym myself. I needed accountability and someone who could help me actually stay on top of my physical health journey. Joe filled that role. I was able to talk to him about my goals of increasing mobility while strengthening and toning my body. Joe is amazing. He is far more than a "personal trainer." Joe is a master of anatomy, kinesiology, and nutrition, and has developed a wide array of exercises and programs which he personalizes for each client. He truly wants everyone to succeed in reaching their goals. I have been with Joe for 3 months. As a older woman with some health issues, he ensures that every workout challenges me without causing harm. I can understand why Joe is so successful. His impeccable knowledge, years of experience, and his true passion for helping people become healthier, stand far above any other trainers I have used in the past. And, he keeps his gym immaculate, which is another asset. Finally, Joe is respectful, kind, positive, and has a peacefulness about him that makes working out an enjoyable, non-intimidating experience. He never judges. This review is a long time coming! In my late forties, I started going to Training with Joe pre-covid. I wasn't motivated to work out on my own; I knew I needed accountability but not quite on a personal trainer level. I saw that Joe offered small group sessions in the form of a strength training circuit. I was motivated to attend three times a week after work, I followed a meal plan that he suggested, and I noticed that I was losing about 2 lb a week safely and consistently. I felt good and noticed that my strength and cardio were both improving steadily. What's nice about the sessions is that Joe is able to watch you and make sure that you are doing the exercises correctly. Everyone is able to work at their own level, and if you need more guidance or more of a challenge, he is able to provide that for you. It is obvious to me why he consistently wins Best of the Springs! UPDATE: breast cancer in my early fifties. I got a hold of Joe again because strength training was highly recommended, and I was afraid of doing it incorrectly and injuring myself as I was very weak. I now go to Joe's facility 2 or 3 times a week and train without fear of hurting myself. I am motivated to go even though I struggle with motivation in general. Joe still meets everyone at their levels- be sure to communicate your limitations and how an exercise makes you feel!
I have been seeing Joe for a little over a month now. I had been sedentary to long and had lost a lot of muscle and my confidence. I used to hike a lot and enjoy the outdoors but I was having trouble even with simple household chores. Joe is an amazing trainer. He is so knowledgable, positive and pushes just enough so I have seen great progress. Last weekend I did the incline for the first time in 8 years. I beat my 17 yr old son by 30 minutes! I sleep better, look better and my confidence is coming back. Do not hesitate to have Joe be your trainer. You will not be disappointed!
