To start off my review, I want to say this was my first time in the store and at first I was impressed. As an Audio video guy myself, the store was large and had a good selection. But as for my experience trying to get my speaker repaired here, I definitely can NOT recommend anything gets repaired here. I dropped off my speaker on 9/30 and was told it would be 3-5 days to get a diagnosis and quote. This was the only time I received communication from them. After this, I waited until 10/8 (8 days) to call the store and was told the quoted repair and diagnosis. I was not given an estimated date of completion. I waited until 10/20 to call again and was not given any other update other than it would be done “soon” On 10/30 (a month after I dropped off) I went to the store to ask for an update in person. I was told a part was being ordered and to wait another week. After a week, I called the store again just to be told again they were still waiting on the part… On 11/7 I emailed the support email on their website to request some kind of details or an estimate for completion. Never received an answer. On 11/17 I finally went into the store and requested my speaker back unrepaired so I could deal with it elsewhere. Throughout this process, the front desk was always friendly, and they were polite when I requested my speaker back, so no complaints there. However, I am appalled by the lack of communication from this business. Except for the initial 3-5 day expectation for a quote, which wasn’t actually met, as I had to call after 8 days, I was never kept informed. I recognize that I majored in communications, so maybe my standard for communication is higher than most. Still, despite that, Video Revolution is not a good place to get your tech repaired.
Thomas and Cole installed a new tv and converted all of our tvs to streaming. They were courteous and professional. We are so pleased with everything they did. Highly recommend !!!
I brought in a 1961(?) Curtis Mathes Black & White TV, record player, AM/FM console to be repaired. It would not turn on and didn’t have any sound from the speakers. The record player barely worked. It was super dusty on the inside - many if not all capacitors were probably toast and most places that I called said to get rid of it. Not Video Revolution. Not only were they up for the challenge, Guillermo knocked it out of the park! The picture on the TV looks incredible for its age. The record player works great and everything sounds crisp and perfect! Guillermo even walked me through how to use the TV since some of the labels have worn off with age. He answered any questions I had about the repair with ease. If you have an old CRT TV that you want to preserve, I can’t recommend this place enough. They are super professional, kind and knowledgeable about pretty much anything related to media/TV/Video/Audio. Guillermo even took a picture of the TV as I left, clearly displaying a level of passion about preserving these types of electronics. Getting the TV back made my entire week a little better and I left with a smile. 100% recommend.
My Go-To place for putting old home videos onto DVD & Flash!! This is the 2nd time I've used Video Revolution to transfer old home videos onto DVD & Flash and I couldn't be happier. I'm sure online companies work just fine, but it makes me nervous sending irreplaceable video memories in the mail. Video Revolution takes that worry away and always goes the extra mile! I took my videos in on a Saturday at noon and got a call back 4 hours later that the tapes were done!! I can't speak to their other products/services, but if they take the same care as they do with my tapes, which I'm sure they will, you will be more than happy! Video Revolution for the win, time and time again!
What sets this technology store apart from others in Tulsa or even abroad is the depth of knowledge that comes from ownership. On a personal study of entrepreneurship I got to spend time with the owner. He's been in this industry as an active owner operator for around 40 years. You won't find that leadership, knowledge depth at a big box stores Like Best B##.... He offers technology solutions in an age where technology and the solutions they bring are essential. This essential business is at the top of it's game. I grew up surfing so it was a plus also he had surf videos streaming on display screens.
