I'm a current jiu-jitsu student and the environment and community of this school is awesome. I've made many friends here, some of whom i will be friends with for many years to come. I (a woman) feel safe with everyone here and feel like I can focus on learning. The teacher is an amazing martial artist, but more importantly he is one of the best teachers I have ever had. Declan has an incredible understanding of jiu-jitsu and can explain every step and the reasons behind it in a clear and comprehesible way. On top of that he is kind, accomodating and patient. There's no stupid question in his class, he will always listen and expand on your questions and queries. He puts so much time and effort into the people he is teaching and is extremely responsible making sure everyone is training safely. Declan's very personable and his attitude and how he teaches makes every class feel fun. I couldn't recommend this gym more. :)

Thank you so much to Declan for patiently teaching my child Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He is the best teacher I have ever met! He is very friendly to everyone and treats every child with care and responsibility. He listens carefully to the children’s questions and answers them seriously and thoughtfully. He always puts safety first, constantly paying attention to the children’s positions to prevent any potential danger. We sincerely and wholeheartedly thank Declan.

My child has been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu here with Declan for half a year, and he absolutely loves it. Declan is a highly professional, extremely patient, and genuinely wonderful teacher. He teaches the children how to train safely. It was here that I learned, for the first time, that when children apply a rear naked choke, one arm goes through the armpit, allowing them to control their partner without unintentionally causing real harm. The atmosphere in class is completely different when Declan is present. When he is there, the class is full of energy and enthusiasm. My child has learned proper etiquette, become physically stronger, and gained confidence through training here. We sincerely and wholeheartedly thank Declan!

I am a current Jiu-Jitsu student, Happy to give this business 5 stars. The classes are very affordable, Declan who runs the classes clearly has many years experience in martial arts and is very knowledgeable of body mechanics, whilst well spoken he is also able to take input from his students and can clarify any queries/use cases when brought up. I am happy to continue to attend this school, very positive atmosphere and there is a balance in how the classes are run, from doing drills to free-form practice.
