The folks at WinMac are incredible. My Macbook Pro just stopped working without any underlying reason (never dropped it, never spilled liquids or anything). Apple quoted me 1k+ to replace the entire logic board, which would have also resulted in losing my data. I brought it here, and they were able to isolate the problem, fix it and still preserve my data. I had been resigned to buying a new laptop, but thanks to them everything works well and is fixed! They also won’t charge you unless they fix it. 10/10 would recommend, great, kind and brilliant!
I had a great experience getting my M4 macbook pro repaired by WinMac following a liquid spill (laptop only stayed on with power adapter plugged in). The repair was prompt and I received relevant updates throughout the process. I was also provided context about the chips involved in the malfunctional pathway and a reasonable, thorough justification for the steps taken to diagnose and correct the issue. I'm not a hardware person, but it seemed to me that the people at WinMac understand the inner workings of macs very well. They do diagnostics and provide a quote for free, indicating they are confident they can beat Apple's prices, and in my experience they have the skill to get equivalent results. I'll update this review if anything changes.
At first I was very nervous about looking for a third party repair shop. Apple did their classic “you might as well replace it” and quoted me a high price. The people at WinMac are such good vibes, genuinely passionate about helping customers, and patient — he spent 10 minutes explaining why my keyboard broke the way it did! I highly recommend coming here for any Mac issues.
The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. What stood out the most was their honesty—when evaluating my two PCs, they explained that one of them was too old to be worth repairing and clearly advised against spending money on it. For the other PC, although the repair took quite a while, they offered me a loaner computer to use if I needed to work in the meantime, which was a thoughtful and practical gesture. Their professionalism and customer care really set them apart.
From the moment we walked in we could tell they were passionate about the care of your computer. They worked with me and I had to have some extensive work done on my computer. (Clumsy friends spilled drink). The turnaround time was great even after they did additional tests to make sure I was in tip top for the near future as well. All the work they do there also comes with a 6mo warranty. Hopefully I don't have any more accidents but if so I would go back there, would also give reference to friend if needed.
