I couldn’t be luckier than to have YoYoYogi as my neighborhood studio. I am admittedly NOT a yoga fanatic, but know how much I need to incorporate it to be the best version of myself in my other sports and in everyday life. So many different options of classes and a great community. Plus, the easiest way to get out of the house and into the studio on a miserable PDX winter day is when you see that hot yoga class pop up!

I’m a yoga teacher, and recently started coming to this studio for heated and unheated power yoga classes. The teachers here consistently deliver physically challenging flows and grounding soul-soothing wind-downs. Check out Chera’s class. Just stellar. I’ll be back!

Did hot yoga with a friend. Great instructor, welcoming environment. Challenging yoga routine, but very flexible and accommodating for all body types and needs. I spent most of the session on the floor for stretching. Great guided exercise.

Excellent studio. Friendly people. The space is beautiful and every class I’ve taken has been with a highly knowledgeable instructor. Thanks Thomas, Kyra and Dena. I’ll be back when I next visit Portland.

As a visitor to Portland for a short work trip, I discovered Yoyoyogi and they truly became my "home studio away from home". 10/10 would recommend and will visit again if ever in the area! They offer what I would consider a "traditional" yoga practice, which is mindful, reflective, and profound, without being religious or americanized. The setting is a large, open and airy studio, with wood floors and exposed brick providing a peaceful atmosphere. They offer a variety of classes, so it was easy to find sessions to fit my schedule, and I went every day (6) during my stay. I had a different instructor each time, and all were professional, insightful and constructive. The classes were also differentiated to accomodate varying levels of skill and experience, so that no one is left out or feels intimidated. One session I attended was a 2-hour special class from Alex Cole that was nothing short of TRANSFORMATIVE. Other nice, thoughtful features that many studios don't offer is changing areas as well as showers in case you want to rinse off after a sweaty heated session, and complimentary water and tea. Another thing that I appreciated is that they offer a visitors package which is extremely reasonable for anyone expecting to take more than two classes, featuring unlimited classes with mat and towel rental included (as I did not travel with my gear). Overall I had a wonderful experience and felt so welcomed by the Yoyoyogi community. Anyone looking for a traditional yoga experience, which is as thought provoking as it fitness enhancing should give them a try.
