This is a great gym, especially for the price. I am intermittent with my rock climbing, but I use the gym all the time. It has everything you would need from a weightlifting perspective for 1/3 of the price of some brand name gyms in Chicago. Plus, the ability to rock climb whenever you want. Great gym, great staff, love this place.

Brooklyn Boulders is such a special place. In a booming metropolis like Chicago, it’s rare to find somewhere that makes you feel grounded, almost zen, in the middle of the city. Even though you’re not technically out in nature, there’s something about climbing rock walls in this earthy, community-focused space that feels like the next best thing. As someone who feels most at home outside hiking trails, breathing fresh air, and moving through nature, this place gives me that same sense of peace and balance. The staff are incredible; I’m almost always greeted by name and with a smile. And the community is just as great. I’ve met so many genuinely kind, encouraging people here. I recommend Brooklyn Boulders to everyone I know, whether they’re seasoned climbers or total beginners. It’s one of those rare Chicago gems that feeds both your body and your spirit.

Prices have increased significantly over the past few years, yet membership perks have not improved. Previously, a membership included additional classes at no extra cost, but now those classes are only available at a discounted rate, and there are far fewer options to choose from. While this gym is enjoyable to visit, paying full price is not justified, especially since there are other climbing gyms that offer more climbing options and better amenities for less money.

One of my favorite places in Chicago. The staff is super friendly and really encouraging- very helpful if you are new and learning to climb. The facility has a community feel to it. Harry taught “The intro to climbing” class and he was a really good instructor. I learned the basics. A good place to spend time with kids and get energy out. They even have a work space which is very useful if you work from home. The yoga classes are great and climbing after a good stretch is definitely ideal. A hidden gem in the city, if you’re a member they often have wellness activities and many fun things to be a part of. 10/10 recommend 😊

Super fun climbing gym! I went on a Friday afternoon and had the whole place practically to myself. The front desk worker was even kind enough to give me some tips. The work/study area was nice, but the WiFi was not the best. Otherwise, the locker room was clean and I had a great time.
