We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Ponce and her team! She helped us navigate all the international paperwork and health requirements for our overseas trip with our dog, Montana. Dr. Ponce is extremely professional, super knowledgeable, and took the time to guide us through every detail to make sure everything was in order. Her staff is also very friendly and helpful — they made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend for anyone needing expert veterinary care or travel documentation support!

I’ve been taking my cats to Downtown Vet since 2018 and have been very happy with most of the doctors there. But I absolutely do NOT recommend Janirka Ponce! She is definitely not a cat person — I experienced this twice. She examined my cat’s eye so superficially that I honestly could have done a more thorough check at home myself. She diagnosed an “eye ulcer,” gave us drops, and told me to follow up with an ophthalmologist. I wasn’t convinced, so I went to another vet. Not just one, but two different vets confirmed her diagnosis was completely wrong! If she can misdiagnose something as serious as an eye issue, how am I supposed to trust her with more critical internal problems? Honestly, she does not inspire confidence. Downtown Vet has some excellent doctors, but Janirka Ponce is definitely not one of them!

The staff here is wonderful! The front desk is so helpful and are always so nice to us and our boys (dogs). They diagnosed one of our dogs with Cushing disease and got the medication quickly. They found the first signs of lymphoma in our other boy. We are so grateful we found them! This staff is fantastic! Too many to name… all of them… thank you!

My poor baby Ruby was constipated and uncomfortable the blessed angel Jennifer was able to fit my baby in on short notice and helped me bring comfort to myself along with my baby. Whole staff was beyond caring and to the doctor who cared for my sweet baby thank you for being so caring and gentle with her overall an amazing experience will bring all my cats from here now on. Definitely highly recommend!!!!

My puppy’s first visit to this vet and I must say it was very pleasant. They made my Luna feel so special and handled her with care and kindness. Everyone in the office was very helpful and kind. Shout out to Dr. Drelich and Jennifer the office manager who took very good care of me and my Luna. I highly recommend this place for all your pets needs.
