The atmosphere is fun, light-hearted, festive. It's one of the reasons we come back every couple years. The food can be hit and miss - we love the chips and salsa, and the carne asada and chorizo tacos/enchiladas have good flavor. But the chicken version is plain, the rojo sauce simple. The last time we went my chorizo enchiladas in verde sauce arrived as chicken in red sauce. Still good, just not as hoped. Maybe we'll check out the mole next time. We have no problem going back - we try something different every time. But we rate it a 3.5-star not because its "not our thing" but rather its average food that we enjoy occasionally.

Chilaquiles Rojo - it was very tasty. It needed a bit of spice though so I asked for some Tapatío, otherwise I would've given it 5 stars. I'd definitely have the dish again. Very cool atmosphere, great service, and lots of options at the bar. I had a shot of Ocho Plata with my meal and it was perfect. I also really loved the artwork they had on the walls. It was beautiful. I have added Fonda la Catrina to my list of favorites ❤️ I'll be back soon 😊

Stopped by for lunch on a Wednesday and they were busy but didn’t have to wait too long. My husband had the Fresca margarita and I had the house. We had the mole enchiladas which were very tasty.

Great little place. Went as a group of 7 adults... i would suggest 6 or less... it was tight. Parking in the back lot. I could see the lot filling up fast when busy. You do need to walk around the building to get to the front - no shortcuts from the parking lot. Staff was nice, food was lovely. Give it a try for a late lunch :)

Went here for the first time today for lunch and loved the food! Very flavorful, authentic-overall delicious! I got the enchiladas verde (w/chicken) and my friend ordered the sopes, and we had chips w/guac and salsa alwell. We both very much enjoyed our meal and would come back again! :)
