We recently completed a training program with FLOPPS. It was a big success. Our dog, Ringo, learned to perform correctly on all the required tests of a Therapy Dog Assessment. Joanna, the instructor, was very positive in her training. She used positive reinforcement with praise and treats to bring out the desired behaviors. Joanna has a natural way of connecting with dogs!! We completed 8 private lessons. Some lessons were at parks or businesses in the city that are dog-friendly. Ringo learned to ignore distractions and focus on the commands. Joanna also provided online tools (videos and checklists) that were helpful in preparing for the lessons. Although the classes were expensive, we heartily recommend Joanna and her wonderful techniques of dog-training!

We can’t thank Joanna enough for her help with our lab, Daisy. We recommend her training programs to anyone who wants a well trained dog. When we started, Daisy was chewing a lot in the house (we nicknamed her Megadestroyer), she was pulling on walks, greeting people by jumping up, and she would pester our older little dog and cat. Joanna’s help got us through and Daisy now only chews her toys (99% of the time, she’s still a puppy and she is a lab!), walks are more enjoyable because she walks on a loose leash, she is polite when greeting people and I don’t have to worry about her jumping on the grandparents, and she even gives space to the other dog and cat on command. Not only that, but Daisy has learned impeccable recall and many other valuable commands in and out of the house that make life with our dog even more wonderful! Thank you, Joanna, for your kind, compassionate training and for your calm patience with Daisy!🌼

I had a German Shepherd that was highly reactive to other dogs. With this training she is greatly improved. It was as much me being trained as my dog. She's still a bit reactive but is getting better all the time thanks to the course. Joanna is great - she collaborates with you to get the best result.

My one year old Golden Retriever just completed a training course with Joanna at For the Love of Paws Pet Service (FLOPPS) in Edmonton. Joanna was amazing. I appreciated how she tailored the program specifically to our needs. She assessed where I and my dog were at, what my priorities were and how to best improve my dog's behaviour. Joanna had a very gentle approach that worked magic with my dog. I've gone from my dog pulling on the leash in every-which direction when on a walk to now an enjoyable, calm, loose leash walk; and from my dog jumping up on, and licking, everyone she met, to my dog being able to do 'polite' meet and greets. I highly recommend Joanna's training program to anyone with a dog that needs help in developing polite manners! She works wonders! Thank you Joanna!

We are very happy with what our 2 dogs have achieved by completing FLOPPS Rescue dog training program. The program included one on one training with Joanna via Zoom, along with training videos and handouts. We enjoyed our weekly sessions with Joanna and appreciated her ability to pass on her expertise in training rescue dogs. This course has provided us with the tools needed to help our dogs become the best they can be. Thanks Joanna.
