Our dog Fiona is always happy to go to the Happy Hound. She loves to come in and see the attendants and then go into play. Her attendance there has been a good experience for her and for us. Thank you for the fun and care she receives!
I’ve been bringing my dog Min to social daycare about once a week for about a year and I have honestly been so happy with the Happy Hound staff and facilities. The small group play style in social daycare with lots of breaks built in ensures she doesn’t get overwhelmed during daycare. They have so many enrichment options as well and she absolutely loves playing outside in the water. They post photos every day and always send a report back where they are honest about any issues. I also took a Teenage Troubles training class through them and had a wonderful experience. I truly can’t recommend this company enough.
I started bringing my Pup Mabel 2 months ago, she was dog choosey and I liked the fact they had different play options and did an assessment to ensure she was safe. She’s done so well and now plays in the full social room and growing so much more confident. I love the daily updates and Facebook pics. The staff have all been amazing, even when we got stranded on vacation and she needed to stay a couple of extra days. I highly recommend The Happy Hound!
Highly recommend The Happy Hound Play Park. Most doggy daycare facilities dont have experienced trainers on site that work really closely with the daycare to ensure success! I was apprehensive about my dog Peanut going to Daycare because she has separation anxiety and is afraid of dogs that don't respect her space. I knew she needed very few dogs around her or she would be overwhelmed, so I was thrilled to learn HHPP has a confidence daycare class meant for shy and anxious puppies just learning to introduce themselves and play properly. The facility itself is new, bright and clean, with so much space and private kennels! The guidance from HHPP is the best I've ever recieved, and I can truly see Peanut's improvement. She used to be terrified of every dog she met, and now she's extremely excited to see every dog! Is great at greeting small dogs, still nervous around larger breeds of course. Peanut gets so excited when we roll into the parking lot, and the whole ride home is so so happy (she doesn't love car rides, so this is huge!). Will never recommend any other daycare, it's worth traveling to. I personally use the personally play daycare program for my dog, as one-on-one interactions are what works best for her. Thank you HHPP❤️🐾
Happy Hound is a team that truly gets dogs—and gives me great peace of mind. As a first-time dog owner, navigating doggy daycare options felt overwhelming. When I first enrolled my pup at another facility, I chose it based on glowing reviews—without knowing how unregulated this industry really is, or what good doggy daycare programming should actually look like. Over time, there were warning signs I didn’t recognize at first: persistent hygiene issues that required constant bathing, multiple incidents where my dog was injured by another (one of which required vet care), and my dog coming home overstimulated and exhausted. Not knowing any better, I assumed this was normal and that those kinds of incidents just came with the territory. But looking back now, I realize those were red flags I just didn’t know how to spot. That all came to a head with a serious incident last summer, when I learned he had consistently been grouped with dogs much bigger and heavier than he was (he was about 25 lbs at the time, and being grouped with dogs who were 40–60 lbs). In a moment of overcrowding and stress, he reacted defensively when a dog he was housed with was shoved into his face by one of their staff. To say it shook my confidence in doggy daycares is an understatement. But I was in the middle of returning to school and needed him to have care for those longer days, so I turned to Happy Hound Daycare. They had known my dog from occasional visits (since they offer longer hours than the previous facility), and when I contacted them after what happened, their response was immediate, kind, and professional. They reassured me that the behaviour I described didn’t align with the dog they knew, and they walked me through how their programming and supervision are designed to prevent those kinds of situations. They also conducted a thoughtful reassessment and transitioned him into the right playgroup to ensure his success in their program. Since then he’s attends their program 2-3 days a week, and the change in my dog has been amazing. He comes home happy, calm, and tired—in the best way. His behaviour has noticeably improved. I think his excitement and toothy grins every time I drop him off say it all. The staff genuinely care and get to know the dogs in their care, and it shows in everything from group pairings to communication with owners. I also love the daily report cards and photos! They’ve even solved the hygiene concerns that used to require constant bathing. He no longer comes home smelling like he rolled in everything—he stays clean and healthy and only needs a bath when it’s actually necessary. I didn’t realize how much of a difference that would make, but it’s huge. Most importantly, I finally feel like I can trust a daycare again. I’m heading out of town this summer and leaving him in their boarding program, and for the first time, I’m not anxious—because I know my dog will be safe, well cared for, and genuinely thriving at Happy Hound in my absence. Not all daycares are created equal, and in a largely unregulated industry, it’s critical to find one that puts dogs’ wellbeing first. Happy Hound has done that and more—and I’m so thankful for everything they’ve done for my dog, and for me. Bottom line—Happy Hound is more than just daycare. It’s a place where my dog thrives—and that means everything.
