I've gotten a few rolls of film done here before Came in this time to get 2 rolls of half frame films printed, also asked to to get them in 4x6, come back a few days later and they weren't in 4x6s. Talked to a clerk there and they said they'll reprint, asked if they needed the negatives still and they said it's ok they don't need it 2 days go by, no communications, third day i called and turns out they actually do need the negatives and ask if i can bring them back, they haven't gotten a chance to call in the last few days i suppose. Problem is I already threw out the negatives, and the day before is trash day so now it's long gone. I'm not gonna go in and demand a refund or anything 'cause i technically received a service already, I'm just kinda disappointed Bonus star 'cause the first time I asked to get 4x6s they did it for free.
Lovely location! Went in to get supplies for home development and Peter was super helpful in doing that. Parking is a little annoying but he helped explain that they cover parking in a nearby parking garage! Will definitely be going back if I need more.
I was recommended to George's by a friend. I don't know much about cameras. I am in the resale business and I found a camera at a thrift store this past week. I did a Google search and saw that it might be worth quite a bit. When I arrived at George's they were extremely friendly and very eager to help me. I had a team of employees (camera enthusiasts) looking over my camera with excitement. All three were very helpful and encouraging but Willow stole the show. She was absolutely insightful and helped me to understand exactly what I had found. She looked it over with a fine tooth comb, made some calls, and put it to the test. It passed with flying colors. I went in with my $16 find and walked out with pure joy knowing I would make a huge profit. I sold the camera a few days later for $1,500 and the buyer will profit an additional 1k to his buyer. Thank you Willow for your help and for going the extra mile. Customer service these days is hard to find but at George's you feel like you stepped back in time. So refreshing. Thank you!!!!
I was very disappointed with my experience. I returned a brand-new item that was never even turned on, simply because it was too big for my needs, and was charged a 15% restocking fee. What’s worse, I wasn’t informed about this fee before making the purchase — I only found out when I saw it on the receipt after paying. I understand store policies, but charging such a high fee for an unused product without clear prior notice feels unfair. Next time, I’ll just order from Amazon — they’re much more transparent and customer-friendly.
I've been a full time professional photographer since 2009, and have been frequenting George's since around 2011 or so, when my other local camera/print store shut down. I've always been impressed by their customer service- their photo lab can't be beat and is the first place I send clients to when they're looking for a local print shop. This particular trip I was taking my *very dirty* camera in for a sensor cleaning. They finished within 24 hours and I can't express how happy I am to not have to photoshop dust spots out of my photos anymore!! All of the employees have been great, but Peter in particular goes above and beyond, and is always a friendly, knowledgeable person to chat with! I can definitely see why this business has been around for so long!
