Our server, Catherine, provided us with a wonderful experience! She was so much fun and had so much enthusiasm and knowledge. She clearly cares about what she does and I hope management recognizes how hard working and skilled she is! Everything we ate was delicious. We enjoyed the beef tartar appetizer and beef Wellington for dinner. The meal was perfectly paced. The dessert drink, named the Brazil, was so much fun and delicious. They flambé the drink at the table, giving you a great show. Thank you, Gibby’s, for the amazing memories!
I visited this restaurant recently and enjoyed a good overall experience. I ordered a salad as a starter, the prime rib for my main course, and a tart for dessert. Everything was nicely prepared and flavorful. The service was attentive and friendly, which made the visit even better. The only downside is that the prices were a bit on the higher side, especially since I didn’t order any drinks. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience and worth trying.
I had been recommended their beef multiple times and finally got to try their famous Gibby’s cut. The price for the portion is slightly above average, but the quality more than justified it. The steak was cooked perfectly medium-rare, and the complimentary appetizers were a fantastic touch. I didn’t have room for dessert, though I’ve heard great things about them as well. Highly recommended for date nights, family gatherings, and special occasions.
We went as a group of 5 with a reservation on a very busy holiday night. The place was packed, and we ended up waiting about 15 minutes in the waiting area. At first, things felt a bit unorganized, and communication with the hosts (a few younger staff members) was a little challenging. For a place with this reputation and level of service, it would’ve been nice to be offered a quick welcome drink while waiting to be seated. That said, once we were seated, everything completely changed. Our server, Kas, delivered outstanding service and truly went above and beyond to make sure everyone at our table was happy and comfortable. He was extremely knowledgeable, explained the menu well, and made great recommendations. Staff like Kas really deserve recognition—he was professional, attentive, and always there when we needed something. The food was excellent. We ordered the Cowboy steak—we asked for medium, and it came out slightly on the rare side, but honestly, it tasted amazing. Perfectly seasoned, very juicy, and with great texture. The bone portion could’ve been served in a way that made it a bit easier to eat, but that’s a minor thing. The salads and sides were also great. I’d recommend the Gibby’s salad over the blue cheese salad. For mains, the Monte Carlo is a great choice and pairs perfectly with the classic steakhouse vibe. Surprisingly, the seafood was also very good. We tried the crab, shrimp, mussels, and octopus, all served beautifully in a seafood tower with a variety of sauces. Portions are very generous, so I’d suggest skipping large appetizers since the mains already come with sides. For drinks, I went with Kas’s recommendation, the Guava Mule, and it was amazing. I’m usually not a big fan of cocktails or mocktails, but I really enjoyed this one. The only downside was cleanliness. For a place like this, both the plates and the washrooms should be better maintained. One of our plates had a food stain, which Kas replaced immediately without hesitation. The washroom, though, was not in great shape—there was an unpleasant smell and paper towels scattered around the garbage bin. I understand the building is older, and I wasn’t expecting anything fancy, but it definitely could’ve been cleaner. Overall, the prices are reasonable considering the quality and generous portions. Despite a few small issues, it was a great experience, and I’d absolutely recommend this place and would go back again.

Every dish felt like it was made with care and respect for classic steakhouse tradition. Service was attentive without being intrusive, which made the evening feel relaxed and celebratory. It was one of those meals where time slows down and you’re fully present with the people you’re dining with. An unforgettable Christmas Eve dinner. We’ll definitely be back for future celebrations.
