IYASUME is a standout spot for quick, satisfying Musubi food in Waikiki. The musubi are neatly prepared with well-seasoned rice and a generous balance of toppings, making them feel both simple and thoughtfully made. Ingredients taste fresh, portions are filling without being heavy, and the overall quality is consistent even during busy hours. It’s an easy, reliable choice for a casual meal or snack that delivers authentic flavor without unnecessary fuss.

Take out spot for better and more quality masubis and rice balls in Waikīkī. Located not too far off the strip but more of a walking distance area if you’re staying nearby and want a snack and food to bring to the beach or your hotel room. Not too expensive, there’s no seating inside or outside and parking might be hard. The lines go by quickly and service is quick. We all ordered a Masubi or two and some rice balls. I got the spam masubi with egg, my friends got rice balls, good flavor of the spam but I felt like there was too much rice, so maybe you can ask for less. They sell lots of cute spam apparel inside and some drinks to go too.

Going early in the morning is definitely the way to go! We tried both the musubi and the onigiri here. I really wanted to love this place because it’s known for its musubi, but unfortunately, it was nothing special. The spam-to-rice ratio was 1:3, which made it really dry. The filling in the onigiri was very dry, and again, the rice ratio was way too high. I would suggest trying the musubi for yourself, but I recommend skipping the onigiri. I did manage to pick up the original sauce, which was a nice bonus, but I won’t be returning for any of the food again.

There is nothing finer than a great Spam musubi, and this place makes some of the best ones I’ve had. Whenever I am in the islands, I always make it a point to come by here and enjoy a couple to munch on while I walk around Waikīkī! Awesomely delicious and affordable.

This place is legendary and absolutely delicious! Visiting Musubi Cafe is a must whenever I visit Waikiki, and no trip would be complete without it. My favorite Musubi is the spam/eel/egg, but there are so many different types to choose from. You really can't go wrong! Musubi Cafe is an inexpensive and fun way to try a hugely popular and influential local food in a cute shop. Please note that if you do come on a weekend morning or a holiday, you will likely have to wait in a line. However, the line goes fast and the food is well worth the wait.
