Well equipped gym. The toilets are as rancid as in any other PureGym I’ve ever been to. And no - I will not get in touch to discuss my feedback with you directly (you can safe your auto-response).
Been coming to this gym since July 25. The staff are amazing so friendly and approachable and nothing is too much trouble. It can get busy but that’s to be expected with a centrally located gym. So I do try to go at less busy times. The app shows how many are in so you can gage the best time. I have been to a few of the classes but my absolute favourite is Chris’s spin class. Gets booked up super fast and is always busy. He has such an amazing energy and gets everyone geared up. Would highly recommend. All of the other gym go-ers are lovely too. Took me a while to build up the courage to join but I’m so happy I did and my fitness has improved so much. If you’re thinking of joining don’t wait just do it.
Chris is an amazing spin instructor! I used to absolutely hate cardio, but his classes have completely changed that. He’s motivating without being pushy, the energy is always great, and the music is spot on every time. I actually look forward to spin now, which I never thought would happen! Highly recommend his classes to anyone, no matter your fitness level.
Overall, I am satisfied with this gym. It is spacious and the equipment is well-maintained. However, this is a very busy gym, and there are more than 100 people at peak times. When I visited the PureGym in Widnes, I was surprised that it was not busy, even at its peak time. What is disappointing is the state of the toilet. If the gym has significantly more people than other gyms, it should be cleaned more frequently, but this is not the case. The toilet in Widnes was fantastic, but the toilet at this gym is poorly maintained. The water basin is always smelly - I think this is a problem with the drainage system, not a cleaning issue. The toilet paper and hand soap are frequently missing. The management team should consider increasing cleaning frequency/times. Relying on the same labour schedule as other gyms like Widnes would be inadequate.
PureGym is offering a 3-day free pass until the end of the year, making it a great opportunity to check out the gym, especially as the temperatures drop and outdoor workouts become more challenging. The PureGym at Liverpool Edge Lane stands out with its modern facilities, cleanliness, and welcoming vibe. It’s an ideal spot to stay active and motivated during the colder months. Definitely worth a visit!
