Happy New Year. Apparently someone closed out the year on a sad note and left you a poor review on 12/31/25. Since we are neighbors and competitors I thought I would leave a review accordingly. Our firm, Burch & Associates, has been in the tax business since 1971. Unfortunately, we've made mistakes along the way and not every client has left us 100% satisfied. The ones who leave negative reviews seldom offer us the opportunity or proper communication skills to address issues that do arise in any business. In my 37 years of experience and over 20 years of working with SP Group, their leadership is strong, their staff is knowledgeable and they do great work. As my competition I give them five stars and I appreciate them being a leader in our industry. We take great pride in serving our clients to similar standards set by SP Group.

Used SP Group for business tax planning and business accounting assistance. They did not set the business up for success. Very limited assistance and communication.

I’ve known Dave for over 20 years and have always respected his advice and counsel. So when we started our company in late 2012, he was the first person we met with to help formulate a game plan for how best to organize and structure our entities. Today, we still rely on SP Group for counsel when it comes to tax planning and preparation of our tax filings in the various states in which we operate.

Matthew Westenburg is the greatest accountant of all recorded time including time prior to recorded time...or at least greatest one that I've ever used! He and the staff at SP group have been excellent to deal with year after year after year. I would highly recommend Matthew and the team at SP for all your accounting needs whether personal, small business, or large corporation!
