Jonathan, bike mechanic, was efficient, knowledgeable, prompt, and gave great recommendations regarding getting my bike to a roadworthy condition. I will absolutely bring my bikes to this shop in the future for maintenance and repair.

Jason Priakosvia Google I ride a lot- gravel, mountain, road, whatever the weekend throws at me—and I’m outside every chance I get. I’ve been in bike shops and outdoor stores all over Texas and beyond, but the Sun & Ski inside Presidio Towne Crossing in far North Fort Worth just blew me away. This place is special.
The moment you walk in, it feels right. Huge, bright, clean, and absolutely packed with everything a cyclist or outdoor person could dream of. The bike area is ridiculous in the best way—tons of great road bikes, gravel rigs, mountain bikes, and e-bikes, all ready to test ride. The outdoor side is just as good: real trail-running shoes, lightweight packs, solid hiking boots, and apparel that actually works when it’s 105° or pouring rain. I came in for new tires and walked out with exactly what I needed plus a few things I didn’t know I needed until I saw them.
What truly sets this place apart is the staff. These people are the real deal. Huge thanks to Justin, Jonathan and Nic. who spent almost an hour with me—talking shop, tweaking my fit, talking routes, and geeking out about bikes like we’d been friends forever. No rush, no pressure, no fake smiles—just genuine passion and knowledge that made the whole experience fun instead of a chore. Every employee I passed said hi and actually meant it. When you enter you hear. "Welcome in". from almost eveyrone working that sees you. That feels like home.
The store itself is awesome: easy parking right out front, wide aisles, quick checkout, and that perfect “new gear” smell that gets you stoked to ride the second you leave.
Sun & Ski at Presidio has become my go-to spot and my happy place. If you ride, hike, run, camp, or just love being outside anywhere near North Fort Worth, Alliance, Roanoke, Keller, or Southlake—this is your store. I’m already planning my next visit.

Grc Dudevia Google Great experience at this bike shop. The staff were super helpful—they adjusted my snowboard bindings and even heat-molded my boots perfectly. Excellent customer service and a solid selection as I get ready for my Colorado ski season.
Only downside is the coupon system. You get discount emails, but sometimes the cashier says they’re online only. It usually takes a manager to fix it and honor the discount, which feels unnecessary. Would be nice if they just applied it right away without the back-and-forth.

He shared stories from his own adventures and gave thoughtful recommendations based on his real-world experience.
What stood out most was how genuinely he listened and responded like a friend who truly wanted to help rather than a salesperson. He addressed all my questions with patience and kindness, offering options that fit my needs and my budget. Thanks to Lonnie, I was confident in my purchases and was perfectly prepared for my trip (surprisingly packing it all in one carry on bag). I highly recommend this store for anyone who wants not only expert guidance, but the best customer service imaginable.

J Bvia Google It’s hard to find a good winter sports store in Texas but this sun and ski in particular is the best in the metroplex. They have everything you need for your next ski or snowboard vacation and if they don’t, their friendly and helpful staff will order it for you. I just needed new boots and to get my board waxed and tuned. Most places around here have to ship your board out to another state for service, but at this sun and ski, there is a staffer that rides almost every type of board - snowboard, wakeboard, wake surf, and does all the snowboard services herself in-house! She did a great job. I can’t remember her name, but rest assured that if you go to this sun and ski, you will be well taken care of!
