Sushi Sora is one of the higher-end sushi restaurants in Calgary, and it absolutely delivers on that reputation. I highly recommend making a reservation, as this is not a place that’s always easy to get into. The food is exceptionally high quality and prepared to perfection. Each dish showcases a great balance of flavours, with careful attention to freshness, texture, and presentation. It’s clear that precision and craftsmanship are central to everything that comes out of the kitchen. Service is truly top notch—very friendly, attentive, and exactly what you’d expect from a higher-end dining experience. The staff make you feel welcomed and well looked after without being intrusive. The atmosphere is posh and thoughtfully designed, with a refined yet relaxed elegance that elevates the entire experience. The restaurant itself is cozy and immaculately clean, making it an ideal setting for a couples’ night out or a more intimate evening. Overall, Sushi Sora offers an exceptional dining experience with outstanding food, excellent service, and a polished, upscale atmosphere. Highly recommended.

I have looked long and hard for a decent place for sushi. This is it. Incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. Get the chef’s recommendation - it is art on a plate. It’s a small place, so make reservations. We celebrated our anniversary here and they surprised us with dessert.

Great price for premium-quality sashimi sushi. We visited on Boxing Day and ordered the premium sushi set, salmon don, and a few other sashimi dishes. Everything was very fresh, and the prices were reasonable. We really enjoyed the meal and definitely will go back again. Wish we had found this place earlier!

The food tasted excellent! The flavour was really good, and the sushi were very fresh. The portion was really big too compared to the price. I would 100% recommend coming. You will definitely enjoy the food and love the place. The vibe of the place was really relaxing and welcoming. Lastly, the service was really great!

I was craving sushi and found this place after searching Google reviews, since my usual No.1 spot in Calgary is too busy for takeout these days. I ordered a variety of items because it had been a while since I had proper sushi. The highlight was definitely the tako-wasabi — it even came with seaweed, and for the price, it was the best dish of the night. The futomaki, seared salmon sushi, and dynamite roll were also enjoyable. The only disappointment was the nigiri. The fish was fresh, but the shari (rice) had an oddly sweet and slightly bitter flavor that made the fish taste more “fishy” than it actually was. I ended up eating the fish and rice separately, and they honestly tasted better on their own. I’ll give the nigiri one more try next time. If it’s the same again, I’ll stick to ordering sashimi from here instead.
