Just got home from Tori Bar on a frigid night. Went with my boyfriend to celebrate our recent milestones and we had an amazing time! We booked for a time slot before the Candlelight performance but after the performance, we decided to come back for another round because why not? Owner (I’m going to assume) and the workers are suuuuuper nice. This is probably going to be my go-to yakitori place. We faced miscommunication with one of our items but upon seeing the item, we thought it was too delicious to pass up (ika karaage). We thought right because we ordered it again! Btw, negima is a must. Thanks to everyone at Tori Bar for such a fantastic night, especially since we were the last one out of the place. Also thank you for the treats. Cheers :) Happy New Years! Do note: better to reserve since it’s a smaller place. Don’t expect your dining experience with any yakitori place to be under an hour unless you’re snacking. Meal-wise, it’ll take at least an hour. Give yourself two hours to eat comfortably.

Highly recommended — especially for the chicken skin! It’s perfectly crispy and full of flavor. If you enjoy trying different parts of the chicken, you’ll definitely be satisfied here. And the perfect match? The Tsukune with sous vide egg — it’s unbelievably good. You’ll be surprised how amazing it tastes!

Such a cute yakitori restaurant in Inglewood! The restaurant is small (definitely recommend a reservation) and the food was amazing! Tried most of the chicken skewers, the cucumber salad, seaweed salad, black cod, and daikon salad. Also the grilled mochi for dessert was amazing. Highly recommend

This cute little hidden gem is easily my favorite restaurant in Calgary. I was warmly welcomed despite showing up an hour to close with no reservations. The restaurant is small and cozy, with rich furnishings. These hard-working owners create absolutely magic with their grilled skewers. I tried many of them, from the beef rib to the chicken drum. They have mastered the art of grilling and know exactly how much to season, and how much to grill to get a slightly crispy exterior and moist flavorful interior. I also ordered the miso celery which was such a unique, delicious way to serve it. It’s a very unique dish, I highly recommend trying it. The owner walked around repeatedly ensuring patrons were happy and got whatever they needed from more food to drinks. The service itself was well-paced so they kept a steady stream of food coming with small breaks in between. I never felt rushed or had to wait too long for the next item. Overall, this is a terrific restaurant with loads of character and food to match.
