I just recently became a member. It is an amazing group of people. Ashley’s sound healings are incredibly relaxing and powerful. Tisse is another wonderful teacher whose tutelage is most appreciated. I look forward to meeting more teachers and proving another update. I recommend Urban Ashram to anyone that values their inner peace and wishes to be part of a community of open minded and insightful people. Truly inspiring.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Urban Ashram is a sacred space that truly embodies community, presence, and higher consciousness. Every gathering feels intentional and energetically aligned, creating a sense of belonging that goes far beyond a typical studio. The variety of spiritual and energy-based modalities—yoga, sound healing, tai chi, and more—offers something for every stage of the journey. Each practice feels guided with care, reverence, and deep awareness. This is a place to reconnect with yourself, expand your spirit, and grow alongside a conscious, supportive community. Truly a blessing to be part of. Thank you for creating this space for us!!

They say the best places are hidden gems and this one is definitely my favorite place . I did the sound bath and it was an amazing experience. The energy is the room was fresh and light . If you’re really serious about healing your energy this is the place to go to. What I appreciate the most is the affordability of the membership! Places like this need to stay open.

"ash·ram (äsh-rm, a-shrm): A center dedicated to spiritual practice, self-discovery, and personal growth, where individuals gather to learn, reflect, and cultivate a deeper connection to themselves and the world." TUA is a non profit that hosts spiritual/mindfulness events and workshops including Tai Chi, Healing Sound Bath & Heart-Opening Meditation, Yoga, Dance and Sound Experience, among others. I attended a Tai Chi & Qigong class for beginners with Alan Zemel and really enjoyed it. I learned about the benefits of Tai Chi, how to breathe through my diaphragm and to move in an intentional, balanced and mindful way. I felt welcomed and appreciated by Penny (who also teaches there) and Alan from the moment I walked in. The furniture and dim lighting created a calming environment. I plan to enroll in another class in the near future.

The Urban Ashram has been nothing short of transformational for me. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt welcomed, seen, and supported. The space itself is grounding and full of intention, but it’s the community that truly makes this place so special. The teachers bring wisdom, warmth, and authenticity to every class, and the offerings go so far beyond just yoga — there’s a deep sense of connection, healing, and spiritual growth here. Whether you’re showing up for movement, meditation, ceremony, or community events, there’s a richness and depth that’s hard to put into words. I’m incredibly grateful to be a part of such a vibrant and heart-centered community. If you’re looking for a place that nurtures not just your body but your whole being, Urban Ashram is it.
