Our Peru trip was from 5-Sep-2025 to 11-Sep-2025. Our group size was 15. Upon arrival at the Cusco airport, 2 big and comfortable vans came to pick us up. 1 van was loaded with our luggage, 4 staff members (Cesar, Jose, Julio and Alejandro) belonging to Tour Leaders came to the airport, welcomed us with lovely big smiles, counted our luggage pieces, crossed checked with us once all our luggage was loaded in the van. Our lead guide Pepe joined us at a hotel and gave a detailed description of our trek and itenary, explained everything about clothing, medicines, wate, food, altitude, overnight stay etcetera. Cesar is our lead point of contact, incharge of everything. And, Pepe was our lead guide After day 1 of our trek, 2 team members didn't feel comfortable to continue with the trek. So, Alejandro took them back to the base camp, arranged overnight hotels, took very good care of them. On the final day, Alejandro along with our 2 team members reached Machhu Pichhu via train and bus. They have mentioned that Alejandro took care of them like his own family. On the way back, when one of our team mate had headache, he asked his mum (who lives in a nearby village) to make special tea and bring it to them and met them on their way. That was pure love and generosity. On the other hand, 13 of us continued on our trek. Cesar, Jose and Julio were with us for every bit of the journey, sometimes even carried our small backpacks when we felt super tired. Cesar and Jose took a lot of pretty amazing photos with their SLR camera. Julio was outstanding, he is quite guy, but, takes care of everyone, has lot of patience, answers every question, makes everyone comfortable. Both Pepe and Julio has a lot of local knowledge and have kindly shared their knowledge with us. Our cook, without any hesitation, I will give him and his assistant 5 star rating. The dishes they have cooked for us were healthy, delicious and the variety of food was mind boggling. On the penultimate day of our trek, the chef even managed to bake a cake for us, and we were high up in the mountains, that was magnificent. The porters are the quite guys, but, they do most of the work, like, setting up tents, carry water, carry stoves, utensils and all other groceries including eggs, tomatoes, potatoes.l and a lotore. They collect the water from the streams, boil it and later cool it down and fill all our water bottles. Due to this level of care, all of us were healthy. Everyday, whenever we reached the campsite, they all would like up on 2 sides and clap us with big smiles until we get near our tents. That was something special. They would even put 2 bowls of hot water Infront of each tent so that we can wash our face and feet. We were 2 in each tent. All guides and support staff (including cooks and porters) are amazing, very friendly and approachable. They are a very valuable asset to the Peru Tour Leaders company. Overall, I would say that it was a memorable trip, we will cherish the memories for the rest of our lives. THANK YOU to Peru Tour Leaders. Anyone thinking of a trekking trip to Machhu Pichhu, I would strongly recommend to contact Peru Tour Leaders.

We did a llama and alpaca trek near Chinchero to acclimate to the altitude and it was a dream! The guides were so kind, patient, and knowledgeable and the animals were lots of fun to walk with. This was a great opportunity to be with nature and learn about Peruvian cultures. Don’t miss the fantastic experience
