I joined Maik’s gym recently and have had a couple of weeks training already . So far, I am happy with the training, I see and feel steady progress with my posture , strength , energy levels , my shoulder issue is much better now . I am a middle-aged woman, who trains twice a week at Maik gym . My motivation was to gain strength and learn to train the proper way, also had some issues with my left shoulder and upper back ( sitting hours on the desk and computer) . Maik creates a specific program for each individual taking into account your physique, your goals , your age, diet . Your progress is monitored and gradually adapted to accommodate more load as you become stronger. They are meticulous with form and very focused at each session to make sure , you do enough to see gains but not overtrain and injure yourself - muscle recovery is an important aspect built into sessions . The staff are supportive and it’s a friendly atmosphere , but focused when training . Maik has also a lot of online tips and videos to supplement the training if you want to complement your training . What I really like about it - it’s a no- nonsense, down to the tacks , kind of training. You put your trust in the trainer , he does the work of monitoring your progress and planning the necessary changes to you routine to see you progress - you do your part and watch your diet ( they do have an app for monitoring your nutrition) The gym is really state of the art - I have been in this city for 30 plus years and experienced many different gyms . This gym stands out . The gym equipment is designed in such a way as to not only maximize gains but also prevent injuries . Highly recommend his gym

For years, I found myself stuck in the same cycle, doing the same exercises, making some progress, then getting injured and starting over again. It was so depressing as its a 0-100 mindset, and I finally came to the realization that I didn’t truly know how to train properly and need some help lol. I decided to train with Maik after following countless Instagram influencers and realizing I wanted an in person experience and have that insurance where someone is watching what I am doing as I am injury prone. As a former Olympian and bodybuilder, my thought process was that Maik could be a great fit where I can learn from his past skill sets. The experience has been awesome so far. Maik created a strategic, personalized roadmap for my fitness goals, with workouts that are diverse and challenging. The gym is clean, and has great vibes. Even though I travel all the way from Long Island, at 42 I’m at a point where I am now making my health a priority and investing in myself. It is a financial and personal commitment, but its a fun process when you start feeling results. Maik’s coaching has made me physically stronger but also helped me mentally, bringing clarity and confidence back into my routine. For me, the true value is being able to show up, train hard, trust the process, and have mental health without having to overthink and always come up with a different work out routine.
