Fantastic yoga studio. Friendly, high quality instructors who keep the atmosphere both uplifting and grounded.
I’ve been doing yoga with small world yoga at Edmonton library in Nashville for the last four years. It is perfect today. We had so much fun because Gilbert Valenzuela picked music of the 70s to play because he knows his client tell was mostly over 65 The best part about the small world yoga instructors is they give you several options and don’t make you feel awkward because you’re not doing it right. Sarah Ellis is wonderful too. All are good just know those two instructors best.
So I’ve been loyal to my usual yoga studio for a while, but decided to branch out, and now I’m questioning my entire existence. Cody taught both classes I took, and I swear this man was born in a squat. Dude held chair pose long enough to file taxes and plan a small revolution. I don’t know if he’s enlightened or just stubborn, but I respect it deeply. Class was wild. My legs were vibrating like an iPhone on silent. Every time I thought we were done, Cody was like, “One more plank,” and now I live in plank. My arms wrote this review without me, and filled for divorce. The room could be hotter. I want to be sweating like I’m being interrogated by the CIA. I want to see visions of my ancestors handing me a towel. I want to crawl out drenched, whispering “water” like it’s a lost language. Studio’s clean, everyone’s nice, and apparently it’s nonprofit, which in this economy feels like a spiritual awakening on its own. Will absolutely be back to legally suffer in the name of wellness.
There is a refreshing amount of diversity in the teachers, students and classes offered. I loved the community oriented aspect of the non profit studio. This was the only yoga studio I kept coming back to while living in Nashville because of how good the vibes were!
This organization is incredible! The yoga studio is quality space with top notch instructors, great heat. And the mission and outreach that this yoga community extends, putting on hundreds of yoga classes each month for free all over the city is incredible. And each studio class is just $5? Hard to beat that.
