I’ve been going to Bend & Zen for a few years now and am so happy I found this studio. I’ve been practicing yoga for a little over 7 years and have tried several studios in Nashville, and I have to say Bend & Zen is consistently a cozy, warm experience (sometimes emotional depending on what hip openers we do 😂). I can’t express how much I look forward to my yoga nights here! I of course have a few fav instructors but they’re all wonderful. Most recently I’ve been loving the yin/yang flow for a deep stretch mixed in with a light slow flow — has been the perfect combo for me getting back into practice after a few months off!
I have been a yogi since the age of 14 and have practiced in so many places. Amanda has curated such an amazing space and her classes are top notch! You can feel how much she loves what she does. I’m totally addicted! I also joined one of her yoga retreats, which was the most relaxing and healing experience. I will definitely join another one again. Love her and her teachers and highly recommend this studio to anyone who loves the practice!
I’ve dealt with mental health challenges and trauma for most of my life. Over the years, I’d dabbled in yoga classes, but nothing ever stuck—until recently. A friend once convinced me to try a class at Bend and Zen. I enjoyed it, but didn’t return for over a year. Eventually, she encouraged me to give it another shot… and I’m so glad I did. For the past three months, I’ve been a consistent member, and it’s truly been life-changing. I feel more grounded, more at peace, and my body feels stronger and healthier than it has in a long time. The mental clarity alone has been worth it. Amanda and the entire team create such a welcoming, supportive space, and you can genuinely feel how much they care about their students. I’m so grateful to have found a second home here. If you’re thinking about trying it—do it. I can’t recommend Bend and Zen enough.
Bend and Zen hot yoga studio, located in the L&L Market in the Sylvan Park neighborhood of Nashville, is a beautiful place! Inside the perfectly heated yoga room is a mural and running water sculpture. There are live plants, free towels and rainfall shower heads in the locker rooms. The lobby is bright and airy, and the L&L Market outside the studio is a bustling mecca for great restaurants, retail and a brewery / beer garden. They have some awesome teachers and creative classes. In addition to the main focus of power flow vinyasa, they have core and strength classes, yin and lots of fun workshops (I even spied an upcoming aerial yoga class!). Their teachers are very positive and engaging, perfect for all levels of practice. They really focus on making the classes fun and challenging for everybody.
