After years of running and wear and tear injuries from work, Dr. Rodney helped me through physical therapy to get back to where I could run again and didn't experience pain in my knees. His helpfulness and questioning attitude helped to find out the true source of my pain and to get the best recovery plan together. I truly appreciated our sessions together working on restoring form and function. Finally his free advice and help post sessions will help me for a long time. Truly appreciate the team at Pro+Kinetix!
I was having back spasms early in pregnancy and kept hoping they would go away, but after a few weeks of no improvement I decided to get physical therapy. I saw Dr. Rodney and I’m so glad I did! After just three visits, the work he did plus the exercises he gave me helped me fully recover. It’s been over a month since my last session and the back pain hasn’t come back. Dr. Rodney is extremely knowledgeable and pelvic floor therapy is one of his areas of expertise. The exercises he provides come with clear instructions and easy-to-follow videos, along with notes on reps and how often to do them. It made everything simple and doable. Highly recommend seeing him if you’re dealing with back pain or pregnancy-related issues.
I've been working with Dr Cidney at Pro+Kinetix for my shoulder pain, and honestly, she's the reason it's been such a game changer. She's super knowledgeable, really listens, and pushes me just the right amount without ever making it feel overwhelming. For about six months I had this constant pain that made working out pretty miserable. The overhead press was not an option. I tried random YouTube stretches, but nothing actually helped for long. I kept putting off PT because I figured it'd go away and my schedule's always packed, but I'm so glad I finally went and got paired with Cidney. She taught me exercises that are totally specific to how my body moves and explained everything in a way that finally clicked. She also helped me improve my shoulder mobility quite a lot. Since starting with Cidney, the pain is gone and I'm back lifting weights! If you're on the fence about physical therapy, I'd say go see Dr Cidney at Pro+Kinetix. She's patient, sharp, and actually cares about getting you better for good. Can't recommend her enough!
I have been in and out of physical therapy for years due to college soccer and semi-professional soccer injuries. I started seeing Dr. Rodney this summer 2025 and immediately the level of care and knowledge he had stuck out to me. First, it is so important as an athlete to have someone see what exercises you are doing firsthand... for one, he analyzes my running gait on the treadmill/outside and sees how I perform barbell lifts. Many physical therapy clinics I have been to do not have squat rack set-ups or watch me run outside which I feel like is a huge game-changer at this clinic. Second, any questions I ask Rod (and there are usually several) he always responds in a very patient and intelligent manner to really help me understand why I am feeling a certain symptom and what causes that. He also doesn't just look at the exercises I am doing, but really hones in on certain movement patterns and mechanics that many physical therapists have missed in the past. For example, I avoided squats for months because of low back pain, but Rod broke down my squat form and showed me the right way to back squat again without any pain being present. Whenever I am feeling down or discouraged with my injuries, I always feel really motivated after my sessions with Rod. He is a very smart, charismatic, and encouraging physical therapist and he wants you to get better!! I think the 1-1 sessions where he is able to watch you the entire time, versus having an aide or assistant also makes a huge difference. I really appreciate the clinic/therapists at Pro+Kinetix and highly recommend getting treatment there!!
Before I came in to see Dr. Rod, I had been feeling a lot of heat in my knees after a very intense hike (15 miles up, covering 10k feet). It took me a month to decide to see a PT because my previous experience is I’ll just be doing things that I can find online. When the heat in my knee lingered, I looked up Pro+Kinetics and read about their process. The process seemed straight forward and efficient. I also liked that I would be working with a DPT. My experience is that I don’t get the best ROI when I work with an assistant. I decided to give them a shot. The initial assessment was excessive overuse which later manifested into ITBS. Dr. Rod immediately saw excessive knee valgus and we immediately started working on corrective work. What I liked about Dr. Rod is that he is really good at not just telling you to do work he prescribes, but explaining why you’re doing each exercise and how it helps correct imbalances, which muscles you’re targeting, etc. He’s also very responsive, something you cannot get out of other places. I have to mention that my issue happened at the start of the summer season for high alpine activities. Dr. Rod, got me through a 3 day Yosemite backpacking trip as well an overnight trip going up Mt. Whitney. These are some things I did not think were going to be possible when I was initially hurt. I look back now, my legs are much more balanced than they used to be, the right muscles fire at the right time. I am miles better than I was months ago. I came in being a skeptic because of my past experiences. I am now the biggest believer in working with DPTs thanks to Dr. Rod. I now believe that you should get checked even if you are not hurt, but just need some fine tuning before a big event. Highly recommend!
